Yep, and that's the #1 receiver skill you should be pumping in rookie, even before hands.

Even before hands? I keep them about even but geez I didn't realize it was that important.

For me yes. I've had high hands and high CiT receivers over the years and the CiT ones have always yielded better results.

TY for the love 4chan, but I got an unboosted (besides free QB) squad in the toughest league.

Biggest understatement ever - his rookie QB was literally the fastest QB in rookie (even faster than my pure run QBs) and yet still managed to finish the season with a QB rating of 85... which was also either the best or second best in rookie. The Brontosaurus receivers are molded after the advice he gave me, but I will admit I also agree that before we added more hands there were way too many uncontested drops, since catch in traffic only works if the pass is actually covered. Just gotta find the balance that works right for you.

If you're going pure pass, then def pump Tech still as #1, but would go with accuracy as #2. Consistently is bigger later on, imo

Ok so this is interesting. We’ve both had very successful Rookie Offenses but we’re building differently.

I’m a fan of Consistency in the Passing game. I build high Confidence (attribute) WRs so Consistently has a high cap. It’s also a cheap skill. Rookie D is a lot of blitzing and Consistency helps under the blitz. Plus in completing Third Downs. So I recommend it and I think it scales well as you build towards Vet.

But clearly you can do things differently and have success. The successful Owners are the ones who’ve matched up builds and play calling the best.

I go pass tech, accuracy, and pocket awareness.

I like pocket awareness alot too. It fires On The Run, allows the QB to avoid the blitz if combined with high footwork and fires Tuck and Run now. Skeletor will be maxing Pocket Awareness.

Don't get me wrong though, I love high consistency too. I just prefer to throw longer passes in general, so accuracy tends to help more at rookie for me. But every offensive scheme is different and the playbook the owner uses would determine which strategy works best.

On the Run was the best QB SA, but now it’s Thread the Needle. I’m approaching 100 Pass Tech on my Journeyman QB.

I mean sure flying kaze is 3-3 but they weren't exactly losing to scrubs. They took L's to Jarvis Street, Holy Guac, and Brooklyn.

GG iRockVans. Guess those high contracts must mean something. You have a team full of no boosting, no superstar players, with zero team chemistry and yet destroyed my zone defense. Your receivers caught everything. That high pass power QB is what is needed to shred a zone defense. My zone won't be at full force until Vet though. And of course, my offense sucked ass.

I could have scored some points if I would have run outside against your blitzing defense. I am gonna add pass power to my QB and go back to a balanced offense.

It can get formidable for last quarter of rookie season if played right.

Cybertron why not hire someone to run your offense? You already have one of the best defenses in the game
