I like the added need for balance, and on the OL/DL it looks great. The main cause for problems is the slowdown effect, it's too dramatic and kills HBs/CBs especially. The changes last off-season were great outside of this big snafu.

How about some new defensive plays?

- Give me some more DE Flat plays that also use deep zones. (Just like the Dime DE Flat and Quarter DE Flat plays)
- Can we get DE Flat Weak/Strong on all the formations?
- Maybe some DE Flat weak/Strong plays that blitz from the other side? (Like lets say 4-3 Strong Shift with the RDE Flat)
- 3-4 Cat Blitz Weak
- 3-4 WR2 Smother
- 4-4 Big SS Tiger Blitz
- Nickel C1 WR2 Smother
- Nickel 3-3-5 C1 Lurk Under Fire Weak Blitz
- Nickel 3-3-5 DE Flat plays
- Dime Weak Overload Blitz
- Dime 3 Man Deep (Or Strong/Weak Clouds)

All these plays would be VERY helpful. Thanks.

If you need me to draw out all those plays I can. Most of them are plays already there just flipped or with an added wrinkle.

also, free respecs for all players to adjust for the changes. otherwise, great money making strategy to just keep making major changes mid-season so the entire member base has to pay you more money next season to fix builds lol

i think the RNG roll causing the fall down issue from low balance needs to be fixed ASAP. ive seen defenders with decent balance (approx 50 - which is on the higher end for defensive players in general and very high pre-s29 standards) fall down multiple times a game no where near a play. they look like drunken pee-wee players wiping out on their face right off the snap. sure it should happen once in a while, or maybe while going for a tackle or maybe while trying to jump to defend a pass, but when it happens right off the snap or just in the middle of the field its literally a joke.

same goes for the HBs, i agree there should be a medium for sprint/balance and that high sprint/low balance should have a penalty, but a s* HB falling down multiple times a game in open field is just poor game design. yes they should be offbalance (i.e. slow but on their feet) but they should not fall down without contact either by a defender or possible bumping into their own OL or blockers, or during a juke/spin, etc.

lastly the CBs, yes it may be a balance issue, but CBs are slowly turning in retarded circles in coverage once the receivers are past them, causes a huge delay where the receiver is 5-10 yards down the field before they realize and get back into coverage. happens to CBs with high cov tech, sprint, footwork, man awa, you name it. CB is already probably the hardest build to nail down so needing a ridiculously high level of balance to be a half decent player is game breaking when the meta is shifting to a spam 5 WR streaks fest (realistic yeah?)

when are we ever going to be able to run a balanced offense at a high level? since day 1 the goal is always exploit what is broken. first it was spamming GL sweeps, then spamming QB sweeps, then spamming TE drive, then spamming counter runs, now its spamming 4/5wr streaks lol. fix the gimmicks and give us game balance without the snarky remarks to feedback.

On an unrelated note as a new player to GLB2 I have learned so much about this game from reading this forum mostly that my power HB will never be signed by a player owned team so I am going to put him on a CPU team. It has also convinced me that this game will be dead or close to it in the next year or two because there seems to be little to no interest in the creators to attract new people which is sad.

I think the changes should be adjusted to where 50 balance should get a normal performance out of the dots, particularly CB and HB.

Deep passes with the 4WR and the PA are lopsiding the game.

New Defensive plays would be nice too... especially some mirrors of ones we have now, and more 4-3 an 3-4 blitz packages

I think it's good to hear all opinions, whatever they might be. A lot of us are upset about the CB/HB balance issue but historically Bort and Co. have usually made things right somehow - whether it's free respecs or what have you. I for one am waiting to see what they will do with this issue. I have left the game 4 or 5 times but have always come back because there is no other game like it IMHO. Also, they try to attract new players, just nothing of late has seemed to work.

Something of this nature would help tremendously. I am sure it is very complicated to solve but I think it would be worth it.

With the current running game, nerfing downfield Passing while buffing short Passing would at least give us football.

The balance issue for HBs and CBs needs fixing and my guess is this is their highest priority.

I’d like to see a massive boost to intercepting when WRs are double covered. Throwing into double coverage has to have a big negative.

To fix CBs specifically, I’d like Cover Tech to give a bonus to Balance, Footwork, Quickness and Sprinting checks. Otherwise we’re going to have to build CBS all on Physicals. Cover Tech needs to help the CB stay with the WR.

I’d like to see Inside Rushing buffed a little.

I’d like to see Short Passing buffed a lot.

I’d like to see Long Passing nerfed into oblivion. Ok, maybe not that much. 😝
But a LOT.

So judging by the posts on this page, I'm guessing people have a pretty big misunderstanding and are probably putting too much faith in coverage tech.

Hint: It is mostly there to counteract a skill that most receivers don't invest in at all

I bet at least 4 of these plays would end up staples in my playbook and the other 4 staples in other's playbooks. Pretty good percentage, better than a bunch of random zone plays without a purpose in the sim.

I think like a lot of guys, maybe a base of 50ish balance being enough to perform solidly would be good for HB's and CB's, with excess levels providing boosts to speed and quickness and footwork... the main issue is the 180 turns a CB makes on his route, thats whats killing the passing game currently, so maybe even to stop it being as important in the coverage aspect would be handy as it does make a mockery of offensive gameplanning, because its simply impossible to cover go routes

Other than that, i agree with Bo, I really enjoyed last seasons changes, its just the coverage and total wrecking of the rushing game that hurt a bit. Fine tuning those aspects would be majorly useful
