I was looking at the fantasy thing as a fun little bonus to the GLB2 season. It's supposed to be fun. Spastic took a giant shit on that fun
While I totally understand the strategic element of having 2 QB's, I think he did this one just to fuck with fantasy. It wasn't strategy for the actual GLB2 game. Atlanta is a terrible team and he would have blown them out with the rushing QB too.
If it wasn't him it would have been someone else eventually. I'm sure there will be more things like this going forward as well. It just takes away from the fun, and it if it isn't fun then it's not worth my time.

In a normal week this fix wouldn't have changed a thing tbh.

This week was very unique, there were no players worth more than 6 or 7000 meaning there was no cap on the season so why not everyone go for the #1 QB by far with little penalty. My question is why did 21 out of 23 people go for the same person? That is more of a concern of mine than what really happened. The fact that people felt safe enough to spend the money on that QB en mass means there was no risk/reward for choosing another QB.

Please don't think I am just letting this go. Its on full blast that I am not happy about this, but at the same point, it is not the first time he has done this (switching QB's) its a tactic on his part and I can't blame him for thinking of it. It is insider information, and there is no way I can protect against that. But what I can do is in weird weeks like this where there essentially is no cap, is to try and make there a cap.

Long story short with this change the player that would have cost 7000 which was the best player this last week, will now cost 10,000 and all players are adjusted accordingly. This forces you to make the decisions based off the best available player costing 10,000. IMO that was a bug in my code, and I have fixed that. I will adjust going forward in unforeseeable events, but until they come up, I will not pretend to solve them.

PER THE QB ISSUE THIS WEEK

I will be setting all players that picked the benched QB to the same QB as Spas. That way I adjust for this week and react to any future issues when they come up.

I actually do think your solution would have worked this week. I wouldn't have picked the rushing QB at 10k, especially knowing he has 2 QBs on roster. I would of likely picked some average 6/7k QB like always. I think the salary was a big part of it.

this.

I've thought about it when D'hara played a scrub team that happened to be over .500 last season. Could of either played the reg HB over MBP, or one of the other WRs at WR2 and ran screens to him all day. I didn't because contrary to some beliefs held here, I'm not THAT big of an asshat, thanks spaz for letting us know you are Should of expected it from anyone with "cowboy" in their name

I was actually in the Valley three weeks ago, but I was back to back the entire week.

Deal. I'm in Palm Beach, Florida. Let me know if you get down here.

I will say I didn't consider 1. the extra work it created for Stobie, and 2. potentially ruining the game altogether. I really thought more people would just say "damn, you got me" instead of crying so hard. But I definitely don't want to ruin the fun or have the game go away. The upside is we have a 12 page thread about a single day's results, so that can't hurt interest in fantasy.

Also fwiw I disagree with your take on the strategy. You see that as a game I didn't need to break out the gameplan. I used it to show an example of being capable of using it whenever I feel like it. Sort of weakens the effect when I spell it out, but I want DCs to have to make hard choices when they face us.

You really have no idea what you're talking about. I've used this exact gameplan twice now in real games, plus about 5-6 scrims to test it out. This wasn't some one-time gimmick. But GIVEN that I'm using the gameplan, of course I'm going to stack my fantasy team with my own passing game and fully take advantage of that information.

See everyone playing this game (assuming some coaching control) has inside information. I just have better information because of how my roster is built. I'm sorry you don't think that's fair.

Because the writing was on the wall Saudi was going to break Russia at a loss no matter what. Even hedging that was true would still have been a gamble.
