Thank you. I'm glad to hear that be said. What is frustrating is they made running changes and I'm not so sure they were for the better, which leads to more bitching. I'm still hopeful for the future of the game though.

It seems they are fixing the things they considered "most" broken. They started with the GL spam, then went to better reaction by the defense to runs, and followed that with an improvement to ballcarrier logic (requested by users). I suspect passing will be next on their radar with a focus on whatever they feel is most broken.

It would be great to see QBs leading the receivers.

I agree. That would make passing even better, though. lol

Actually the contrary. PDs happen much more often when the CB is in a trailing position. In the rare cases the WR is lead in the sim now, it usually ends up in an incompletion.

Agreed.

Maybe the improved ball carrier logic would be better if the blockers had better blocking logic. (Ghosting DE's, not blocking a guy that doesn't need blocked, etc.)

As its coded now, yes. If they properly implement lead passing, though, I don't think that would be the case.

You mean like turning around and running into the HB to block a guy out of the play? Yeah...that really needs to be fixed.

If they properly implement leading a receiver, I hope they also fix the ball going straight through defenders in position and still caught by a receiver.

This x1000. FBs are practically impossible to build because if you give them too much Lead Block Awr you'll completely break them and see nothing but what GE describes on outside runs. If they don't have enough of that Awr, they'll miss too many defenders in front of them. It's pretty ridiculous how bad they are at knowing who to block.

I tested it once by jacking up Lead Block Awr on a FB I intended to retire..seeing if he would get smarter and push through that turning around crap. Nope. Like 80-90 Awr. All he did was take off inside on every outside pitch play. He'd "see" someone way off in the middle of the field and completely abandon the play. Usually he didn't even end up blocking anybody when he did that. It was literally never a good decision.

This is where they should start. This is the issue that is causing passing to be op imho. You call the correct play, your guy has the coverage and the ball goes right through him for a reception., even running was never that stupid.

GG Barons! That might have been the most exciting game of the day. It came down to a missed XP.

Not sure why the sim didn't attempt the game winning FG at the end. May want to check your FG tactics.

This is why I maxed it out at 61. Found this to be the sweet spot.

Do you invest in run block awareness for FBs? I think run block awareness is used for inside runs.
