And DD2 has lost twice to passing teams.

Should we stop the presses? Passing teams were able to beat a balanced team?

Yes, stop the presses until further notice.

A long ways away from #1 for them. But they will reach top 5 someday. Mostly because I have enough Sophmore players to chase whatever the sim changes may be.

I wonder what the optimal 100% passing team setup really is though.

I think superstar QB's might honestly be too overpriced to be worth it.

Is S* QB + S* WR + S* TE

Better than

S* WR x 3
S* TE
and probably two more blocking superstars?

I don't know what the real math would be (assuming you are loading your offense with all the star players) but I think team composition is definitely part of it. I think passing does ultimately have the most potential as an offensive strategy regardless of the sim (presuming no huge tweaks), it just doesn't seem to be working out right now in practice (I don't think anybody has thumbed the magic combo yet).

Or even 2 non-superstar passing QB's.

One S* QB is definitely better than 2 non superstars if that's what you were just trying to say, the morale problem is really negligible in comparison to just how much better of a raw passer you are

to clarify i think two qb's are useless regardless of what you are doing, they are just too expensive and you don't really circumvent the stamina/morale problems that much imo. I mean I guess you can do some gimmicky goalline QB stuff now (I think?) but even still, I'd rather have another superstar than split plays between QB's.

Regardless of your composition. You still need to put the right plays into the mix. For passing offenses those plays can be more set it and forget it because passing is only predictable based on what the defense throws at you but it has the ability to adapt. Rushing is not a set it and forget it deal. In fact it is lucky that the DC tactics are completely buggy and tricky because most rushing offenses are entirely predictable to a T. Balanced is without a doubt the best possible path. Especially if you put the right pieces in place.

Just for fun looked at your QB's conditioning at the end of games and it wasn't bad. So I guess maybe in the early tiers it would be better to have 2 QB's but at higher levels 1 QB can get the job done.

Look mate i agree that a balanced offense is a fantastic team if you can do it right but a 90+% offense team that is down correctly in my opinion will always outdo any other team because the high% plays that it can produce vastly outdoes the high% plays of a running team or a balanced team

Balanced or a mostly passing team that can still pose a threat with inside and outside runs would be the hardest to stop.

To pose that threat you need to run bro.

You dont though you just need a good balance of fast WR and strong WR to cause the D coord to think about the downfield passes and the short ones.
