Based on the sprite animation chart DB just posted, unless you wanted them to be static images, it would be an incredible amount of work.

I am sure a bunch of white dudes chasing Martin Luther King on a pitch play would go viral on facebook pretty quick, though.

Honestly, I'd probably even want to go out and make plays for them that aren't part of the normal playbook options. I like doing weird weird stuff.

Like 4WR "Hearts" instead of Diamonds?

Was thinking a formation with an extra player, blitzing, called "Heartstopper" lol

The Grey Cup match: CFL wider, longer field, 3 downs, one extra player.

If you guys ever decide to bring new formations into the game. This would be a great idea for how to introduce them imo.

Also making a career out of it is quite a bit of a stretch. Every other season or so making a strong team based on one AI theme wouldn't be THAT time consuming. I know as I have done it for both games. Probably easier for Corndog to do it because he can probably just replicate builds rather than building each one from scratch.

Just do the "shadow team" exact copy of your teams builds, but with +3 to all skills and +1 to all SAs.

meh that wouldn't really be all that interesting to defeat. That is almost exactly what chemistry and promo's do right now in GLB1.

No, the other team still has their own builds. You play against an exact copy of YOUR team, but the players are all stronger, faster, more agile, etc. On GLB2, a team that is an exact copy of your own, but with better skills AND SAs (an extra level on the SAs is a huge boost) would be much tougher to beat than the +1% promo.

This thread became really interesting.

I had often thought myself the game needed some "PvE" aspects like that.

I know what you are saying and I am saying that isn't all that interesting. If I played BEEF in GLB1 with our skills +3 and SA's +1 that wouldn't be entirely difficult to beat. I would rather play against my team except the HB is now +10 speed and Strength. Or play against DC Universe with Barry Allen's original build. Facing a little better version of yourself is just kinda lame. Facing what might be a similar concept of your team except there is a real Superstar to defend either offensively or defensively. Now that interests me.

Awesome reference, I played some Punch Out yesterday strangely enough.

I've always had an idea of creating "challenge" teams, like around holidays, that are based on some holiday theme but are overpowered and giving special trophies to teams that beat them whenever they are available.

Really like this idea.

Sure, having all builds be copies, but giving a boost to key skills of players at key positions would be fun.

O-line = the same. HB = same, but also +10 sprinting, +10 power rush, +10 evasive rush.

Could also just keep the builds as copies, but also with 3 points in all applicable SAs (beyond the normal 18 AP limit). My old bruiser HB, but with maxed out SAs would be a monster.
