I don't think a D1 train is going to tell us anything until the game is over - or at least in the very late stages - as we have no real logic or information to base votes off of. I kinda think TheS's comment about being a loose cannon might have struck some people the wrong way. Who knows, I voted for him as my D1 joke vote (TheS and I don't mind butting heads, and he's got a vote on me) but I obviously can't speak for the others.
Sugar's D1 hammer does raise an eyebrow, so I can see the logic for voting him.
The biggest concern I have, Timmah, is how you and Ben are essentially tag teaming Badass for some rather trivial reasons. If we're looking at Badass's voting habits then we should be equally as concerned with Ben's; and the fact that Ben isn't on your "list" makes me wonder.
Timmah, if I'm missing something here (especially about Ben) feel free to point it out. hooray long posts! I feel I should make one of my own!
You're not missing anything that I am aware of. It's just D1 so there isn't anything to go off of really. I agree with you that analyzing vote patterns on D1 is generally a waste of time (note: on D1, not from D1), and really I just happened to notice the 2 L-1 votes from Badass, and it at least gives me something to form a completely subjective, uninformed and subject to change at any time, opinion about. There is no reason that a similar, completely subjective, uninformed and subject to change at any time, opinion couldn't be formed about Ben's obsession of Badass' magic mike/self-vote joke.
I have my vote on Sugar because of the quick hammer and Mumbles because of the inactivity. Imo, inactivity votes are better early in the game rather than later because losing any PT player later in the game is more damaging to the town. Perhaps that's just my interpretation of things though. If Mumbles reappears here during this day phase, I am likely to take that vote off, but I will probably leave the one on Sugar unless he comes up with a reason for me not to.
Honestly though, the only thing that really sticks out to me right now is how ridiculously fast the wagon formed and the hammer fell on TheS.
I can see your point about ben voting for people close to lynch earlier, but the votes have changed some since then. You know what though, as I go back and re-read in order to continue with this super long post, I think I will ask for a clarification of the basis for this:
