it's "i like your pants around your feet", and that song is about a lot more than casual sex. it's about an ex-girflriend of his who went down the wrong path, getting involved with hard drugs and hells angels and shit, and his gradual acceptance of her not being the sort of person he wants to be with.

Also, didn't they do a song about domestic violence? They don't have to do things like that. They're successful and popular, but they still want to put out a good message. I don't understand why people want to hate them or the majority who like their music.

yup, that song's called "Never Again", and it's a great one.

it would be really easy for nickelback to sit back and write songs about nothing, but they keep on releasing music with lyrics that help people deal with the issues that they live.

they don't have to support political issues, they'd be rich and famous either way, but they do, because they know it's the right thing to do.

I'm secure enough that I don't have to pretend I don't like good music just to be different.

Clearly not if you are trying to rationalize shitty music as being so self-confident that everyone else must just be insecure to not have the same likes as you.

If Nickelback isn't good, then why are they successful? I think some people just bash them to try and be different. Same for Linkin Park.

Anyway this all breaks down to Gart being unable to discern success from talent.
