wow, i actually agree with you for once!

How many 30 catching attribute LB's are making ints on 99 bullet pass tactic and 85+strength QB's...all the time.

Maybe building a WR with 30 catching is all we need?

such nonsense. They make a good change and jdbollick posts a bunch of nonsense and influences catch & bort to remove the change. I am sick and tired of jdbollick deciding the changes that are the best for this game since he doesnt know WTF he is talking about.

I am disappointed that catch & Bort always listen to him

he makes the forums more interesting, he has to be appeased

I've been here since season 1 and have been a DC for the past 10-12 seasons. I remember DC'ing before the DPC, it was terrible. The DPC is far more intuitive. The preset plays are terrible, the %blitz possibility was dumb. I hated DC'ing before the DPC.

I guess I'll just wait and see how well these changes work out. Roll with the punches of GLB like I have before.

However, if the DPC is gone completely, I'm done as a DC. I'll probably stick around here because of the friends that I've made but I'll just go back to owning players and possibly a team (if I can find somebody with enough time on their hands to DC it).

Losing the DPC altogether would be abysmal.

The only way you can stop 1000 Defensive Coordinators from finding some hole in your blocking logic is by giving 1000 Offensive Coordinators to ability to change their blocking.

You will never stop 1000 Defensive Coordinators with 12 bug fixers and 3 programmers.

Give us a decent Offensive Play Creator and you have no problem.

I like it - I've seen some weird blocking against custom set ups.

looks like the conversation has evolved into something a little bit better.

This is a crazy idea...but wouldn't this entire problem be solved if we just kept everything about the DC in place and just prohibited people from blitzing? you could still set up people to stack sides to protect against run tendencies keep your pass D coverages in place, which aren't hurting anybody...but the overload blitz mess would be over...which is what this is about, right?

Be alot easier fix for everybody and I don't think anybody would really complain...(not too many at least)

It is a good idea. It will make the game more legit if you are unemployed and have no life you could sit on here and make a defensive play for every offensive play on GLB and then it is no fun anymore. So I would say that

1. Make a OPC to combat it
2. Delete DPC which is the most logical
3. Maybe just bring in so many plays in offense then you can keep DPC-- Probably not going to solve the problem it will just be a bandaid

Good Job Catch and company

Can you confirm the TE was 100% supposed to run route instead? Also left side audible? It looks mor elike the TE was held left side on purpose.

You'd think so, but actually it isn't. As I keep repeating ad nauseum, even the overload can be picked up by keeping the TE in now that Bort did his inside-out blocking change. That has actually worked brilliantly, which is why all this furor over the need to handicap defenses caught me by surprise.
