Welcome to the forum, and my intentions when doing these write-ups are to say positive things about teams, I don't want to be the 'basher' of all teams that aren't as good as some others, they are working just as hard to be 2-14 as the team that is 15-1, sometimes your just not as lucky to land playersmakers as others. Between two matched teams, it only takes one team being off a tiny bit and other to stumble on a great plan and BOOM the upset. My team isn't that good, so I know the feeling of 'are we ever going to win again' and if I was to come in here and see my team getting slandered every week, I just wouldn't bother showing up here at all. So I encourage all players and owners to chime in on these remarks and thoughts, good, bad, or otherwise, it'll create a sense of community for us.

ya iceland is gonna pull back to back upsets!!!

I was actually hoping they would win so they could stay in playoff contention and we weren't the ones to knock them out of it, but they didn't pull it off.

Sorry Dream Team.

Wow I was expecting my team to disappoint today. Now the race is down to three.

Yep, only 2 playoff spots up for grabs now. Oslo is guaranteed a spot if I did my research correctly. Even if Oslo loses next game, and the 3 that lost today (Athens, Amsterdam, and Iceland) win next week..Oslo wins the head to head 2 out of 3.

It's nice when there is a race till the end. Makes these games that much more interesting. =)

Oslo will be fighting to keep their 6th seed.

Really? 30 to 3? I must be screwing up the defense something royal to have any team score 30 points on the Doom. But to hell if I know what it is. I haven't changed that much on the defensive side from what we've been doing all year. As far as scouting's concerned I've been dead on in predicting what our opponent was going to do and thought I had us set up to stop it.

What I don't understand is how we completely shut down the best running game in the Conference in the Smokers and now we look like swiss cheese. Got to hand it to the Dublin boys they played an excellent game, unfortunately for us we ended up playing the worst we have all season. To add insult to injury those two losses bumped us out of getting a home playoff game.

That's about the worst two "weeks" of football I've experienced in any of my leagues. Well enough of my whining I have to get to work trying to piece together what was once an elite D, and find some way to stop the running game in the playoffs.

Looks like Athens has the toughest path, but the points lead will still be up for grabs with the other two playing lesser teams. This might be the first week I check the other games before my own.

I dont think we have the toughest path we are going against a team that has only won twice. I think Amsterdam has the toughest path.

What would happen if Iceland, Athens and Amsterdam all lost this week again? What team would be left out?

I thought they went to a head to head matchup and not the most points scored anymore for determining tie breakers.

If that's the case
Amsterdam beat both Iceland, and Athens

Athens beat Iceland, lost to Amsterdam

Iceland lost to both Athens and Amsterdam.

So Iceland would be out. (If I can read correctly LOL).

So it seems like all we have to do is win and we are in.

Week 15 Results:

Drunken Munkeys over Iceland Dream Team W

This will be a good game, the best passing offense in the conference against the second best passing defense, but the Munkeys have beat better teams threw the air and this wouldn't be any different.

Dublin Boghoppers over Glasgow Doom W

Game of the week here, the Boghoppers own, by far, the best rushing defense in the league and the Doom ain't no slouch in the rushing department, this could become an aerial assault game, quick.

Amsterdam Smokers over Maniac Shadows W

Another good game, but the Shadows seem to be off on the planning side a little and the Smokers may win this by a mile, but if the Shadows can get the plan close it could be good.

Brussels Massacre over Coventry Terror W

The Terror have been coming around but the Massacre is a tested team and should be able to hold the Terror off by 7 or less.

Athens Nighthawks over Barcelona Admirals L

The still recovering Nighthawks draw an easy schedule here at the end of the year and should win this one too. The Admirals are still getting closer but haven't hit the nail yet, we'll see next season.

Amsterdam Red Lights over Oslo Norsemen L

Damn, the good games just keep piling up this week as the higher ranked ARL roll into Norsemen land. ARL have the higher rank according to the BCS, but that ain't everything, but in this to close to call game I'll go with ARL (which means the Norsemen will probably win)

Dayton <-FnA-> over Burnt Orange Rising W

If we lose this, we'll be the league laughing stock for a season, lol. They are making strides forward, I just don't see them winning this year.

Arlington Avalanche over Syracuse Slashers W

A boost to the ego game.

Thoughts?

Glasgow Doom vs. Dublin Boghoppers 3-30
Athens Nighthawks vs. Barcelona Admirals 13-27
Arlington Avalanche vs. Syracuse Slashers 13-6
Drunken Munkeys vs. Iceland Dream team 51-6
Dayton <-FnA-> vs. Burnt Orange Rising 33-14
Coventry Terror vs. Brussels Massacre 13-16
Oslo Norsemen vs. Amsterdam Red Lights 20-10
Amsterdam Smokers vs. Maniac Shadows 30-17

6-2 this week and WOW, I didn't see the Nighthawks/Admirals game coming, damn
