because it is a major attribute for a powerback! momentum helps a power back get going just as much as agility does, bort even said it. without speed, you don't get a bonus to breaking tackles. this was what was wrong in season 8

Helps break tackles, and avoids fumbles. Pretty important for a RB going right up the gut of the defense and getting hit pretty hard, don'tchyathink?

Momentum is caused by the RBs strength and size. Not his break away speed.

No one will make a powerback, they will all make combo's.

Scat/Elusive/Combo are the only builds viable at HB. Even Power HB's have over 100 speed, most have more. Without Speed as a major, I just don't forsee anyone making a "powerback"

Speed is too important of an attribute in GLB as a HB to not have it a major.

rmiller, i think you're really missing the point of the major/minor attribtues. they weren't trying to make the best possible player of each type, they were trying to make 4 balanced options. otherwise, everyone would choose the same one. let it go bro.

why call it a discussion if we can't discuss what each of them is? post them in an announcement or lock the thread if you don't want feedback on it.

I will. Especially if the Power Back specific VA is worth anything. It's easy to make a PB with 110 Strength/90 Speed in the current format. I'd imagine it'd be a little tougher to achieve 90 speed, but MUCH easier to get to 110+ strength. Perhaps 130 Strength, 85 speed is possible? Give me 70 Carry and 10 in Power Through, Bruiser, and SYM, and I'll plod my way through your D without needing speed as a major.

Building players is the best part of GLB, these new archetypes will make too many players built the same way. So basically building players is taken out of this game ( since archetypes are some what pre-built). This will sure make it easier for OC's and DC's. You will know what your up against, a DC's dream.
It seems like everything is being dumbed down in most aspects of the game which will make it easier for everyone. Good luck with the new GLB that has been put together by 12-18 year old spamming chat room agents that became Mod's.

So, this new GLB will make building players and Tactics far more easier. Easy enough for the 10-12 year olds coming in that know nothing about football. Their is enough bad owners already.
