A. It would provide an additional small XP gain to each individual player as well as increasing morale and perhaps even a very small boost to fan support and team chemistry.

This is my fave part of this, but I'd consider the reality that team chem would be up more than fan support. Not to say fan support should be ignored here...

Oh, and +1

What if someone contracts end on Day 44 and had training camp on that team then go on another team for ANOTHER training camp?

Training camps run simultaneously and basically take place of normal player training during this time frame. If a player were to change teams, then they would miss the last half from team "A" but get the second half from team "B" so there would be nothing extra for switching teams and no way to exploit this. Also, you could make the same rules apply here as they do to free agent signing and trades where if a player has already participated on that day, then they wouldn't be available until the following day. (Just like you aren't able to add them to the depth chart if they've already played a game.)

why we just got a new training system and something like this wasn't part of it is absolutely beyond me.

Simplified GLB training system:

1. Add third level of regular daily training, so you have normal, heavy and intense. Each has its own costs with Training Points, and the more intense you train, the more bonus tokens you get. The slight benefit to training lighter remains shopping tokens.

2. Bonus tokens can be used to open up new intense training combos. Heavy training just trains one physical trait and one mental trait at a time - ie, strength and confidence, agility and stamina, etc, etc.

3. Have offseason and preseason training modes, where for bonus tokens players can open up far more intense training with boosted gains, new 3 and 4 attribute training combos unlocked, etc. This just works for offseason, AND, players can get two training token payments per day.

4. You could add element of offence vs. defence scrimmages, skill competitions, etc, etc, during the offseason and preseason periods as well.

5. You could give team bonuses by having the *human* coaches set training schedules to work on certain formations, plays etc. during preseason. Coaches could choose to boost one or two areas by a bunch, or a few areas by a little.

Done, I just designed the new training system, please send me my flex.

No. Your suggestion is partly too vague, partly going to happen, and partly just copied ideas from this post.

The OP is amazing, it would be a great add-on to the new training system. Only problem with it is I guess Bort and Catch dont see it as high-priority.

For the record, I knew my "solution" was neither complete nor original - but its still better than the new training model. Sorry if it seems I was trying to steal the OPs thinder,+1 to +@

Yeah. I think it sounds really great. I just had my first offseason actually doing recruiting and doing dc work. It was busy but enjoyable. The offseason has been pretty boring to me before this.

I like this suggestion - I'll try and have Bort take a look at it sometime in the next month or so.

I owned a team actually a while back and held pre-season battles. It consisted of rotating the depth chart each pre-season game and evaluating the game film with the coordinators. That way it was fair for each player and not based on all stats alone. This was actually an easy recruiting technique and i used it for my level 14 capped team. Obviously it is a lot easier to recruit at lower levels, but i kept using the pre-season battles as a recruiting pitch and it was successful. Your not going to get players to sign with you by telling them their coming in as a backup. Another added bonus was more volume in posts among our team forum as well.

So i definately like this idea and know its pretty old to be talking about, but hopefully one day we can impliment something for it. This game has a sky high ceiling and can keep getting even greater.
