Wat?

I think everyone crying this change going against their hard work is the funniest bunch of BS ever on GLB.

Seriously...this much energy over lolMoney? Pretty sad but funny.

And the quote? I was using what that guy to show that the arguments about paying for EQ don't belong here (like what he was saying). It was to show all of you that you shouldn't be crying so much. It is lolMoney and with EQ changes coming money will become LOLMoney.

It isn't just lolmoney that is involved. I don't care what the system is, or is going to be. Bottom line is I, and many believe, that when we are spending *real* money to help our player try and reach maximum potential, that we don't want to beg for EQ or be put on EQ rations from a cash strapped team.

Everything you say makes sense but the sad part is reading about what "we will have to do" to be demoted just makes me tired all over again. Good thing though, most 40+ guys with a family and job and plenty of disposable income to spend has energy to burn- so all should be good.

Simple answer we might get for that is,Agents should drink more redbull and take more viagra in order to play in the near future. XD

Again, stop wasting your time trying to argue otherwise. Having your money and stadium taken away is obviously a punishment, and anyone who says otherwise is making a complete fool of themselves. You shouldn't be wasting my time or yours trying to say that this isn't a punishment, but instead just focus on your belief that the punishment is appropriate for anyone who starts over. I disagree, but at least that's a legitimate debate.

Come on JD--do feel "punished" when you're taking the Monopoly game out of the box and are forced to start without the properties, houses, and hotels you had in the previous game?

The fact that you continue to argue this shows that it's actually just about your ego and not about any genuine feeling about the issue. There is zero question that taking away someone's money and resetting their stadium is a form of punishment. Again, if you want to argue that this punishment is deserved or somehow necessary, then fine. But arguing that it isn't a punishment is ridiculously foolish.

You are right. They shouldn't take away what was built.

It should last forever and be free forever like real stadiums.

OHNOWAIT... GLB should let you keep your stadium and money, but they should make the upkeep charges on the stadium so high that you go bankrupt and lose your stadium and team instead?

So if they decided that there was no longer going to be money and stadiums anymore would that be a "punishment" to all of the existing teams?

Apparently to some it would.

Me thinks some people might want to look up the word punishment in the dictionary.

Any pain, suffering, or loss inflicted on a person because of a crime or offense.

A "change" doesn't mean it is punishment. Doesn't mean I agree or disagree with the change. Still, it is just a change.

Nope. And it would be the same for every team.

The thread Why shouldn't level 14 teams that are starting over tank this season? has been merged into this thread

If you try to win, you're gonna be promoted, meaning you're going to have to ask for demotion and start over losing your stadium and cash.

If you tank the season and sign a bunch of level 1 CPUs, you can avoid being promoted and keep your stadium and cash.

Am I missing something here? Do all level 14 teams get promoted regardless?
