Apparently it's possible to drink 5 cans a day and not know what you're drinking or buying. I said no it's not the soda particularly, it's probably the caffeine, cuz I'm trying to be nice to the pregnant dipshit. She argues with me for 10 mins, adamant that she doesn't drink caffeine. I prove her wrong like it was all that hard. She proceeds to tell me she just drank an energy drink cuz coke is totally unsafe for the baby (yet she drank enough to have 'withdrawals') but caffeine is healthy. I think I wanna apply to be one of the people sent to Mars so I don't even have to be on the same planet as that kind of stupidity

I sincerely hope that child is put in the care of someone safer when it's born.


more than likely in situations like that it probably wont until childcare services renders her from the mother....or maybe the idiot boyfriend can take care of the children....otherwise i've had this type of discussion with some of my "friends" before....it's a hard ordeal

best idea would be to send those stupid people to mars.

The boyfriend is actually nice and he would in all honesty probably try to google it or learn in her situation. But being in the military, he won't be around the kids enough to override the mom's stupidity. It is a bit difficult, especially knowing she's in charge of 2 human beings' lives.

my wife manages an apartment complex, they had 40 different water lines bust. apartments flooding everywhere. one empty apartment flooded so much the water leaked into the parking lot and became a sheet of ice

they came in that morning and the calls started coming in. they sent out letters giving people winterizing tips, but it was too little too late


this is in North Carolina, it hasnt been this cold in 35yrs, so no one was prepared

There's really not a lot to be done in that case unfortunately. You can wrap any parts that stick up, but for the most part sprinkler pipes are uninsulated and buried, no way to get to em. Make sure you flush them obviously, and wrap the hell out of any external parts, and hope for the best.

if you actually ran them it should help. you have to get pretty damned cold for quite a while to freeze moving water.
