His speed is probabablt low and quickness while the wrs aren't. Plus he started going to the outside on the brb while the guy went inside so he was stuck trying to get back

Ok, then how do you explain this? Referencing this play:

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/206232/912461

The CB has 68 break run block, 61 footwork, 80 pursuit and silver shed block. The WR has 20 run block tech, 10 run blk power, 20 run block aware, 22 run block consistency and 40 footwork. The snap reaction is about the same.

I didnt say footwork was key to getting round the blocks. I asked you if you if you thought that why did he have low footwork..........

That WR had like 1 more energy and 5 morale, which is obviously why that happened

Speed has nothing to do with it. Maybe hold ground to push him off? He has no hold ground.

Why do you think speed has nothing to do with it?

That was my take, Shed Block fired, he won the block, but he went to the wrong shoulder of the WR so had to re-engage and try and get through him again.

Snap reaction is irrelevant for this play. It would be Zone Awareness, which your CB seemed to pass right when the RB got the ball.

One of the main problems here is the play you used. A Zone Sink has the corners drop back at the snap, away from the LOS. It's making it that much harder for the corner to actually do something useful on the play.

Better Zone plays out of the 5-2 formation that keep your run stuffing CB in solid spots would be:
- Fire Zone 2 keeps the CB at the LOS, even balance to left/right outside.
- If you know he's most likely going to the right, then 5-2 Cover 2 is even better.
- If you know he's only going to the right, and the CB has lots of blitz awareness, then Cat Blitz 2 Roll.

Really? You need speed to break a tackle and side step around a blocker? Sprinting (I assume you mean) is only used when running at top speed in a straight line. IMHO, the following are used for breaking a block and moving around the blocker:

- break run block
- hold ground
- footwork

My CB doesn't have much hold ground, so he can't "push" the blocker back and step around. But I figure Shed Block will stun him long enough to move around him.

.

I think this is a better reason. When I run plays where the CB is in short zones, they seem to always make the tackle.

This is my favorite 5-2. Only problem is, if they pass I am screwed.

Bloody score is the only surprising one for me. The other two I expected to some degree.

yep this. The EMNU game was always going to be a close one, wasnt sure who would win but not shocked tosche lost. Eagles with chem are only getting better and have knocked off HKD with no chem
