Can’t believe they still have “with over the top help” on EOTP.. How does removing “in underneath zone” help at all? All deep zones have zero over the top help. That did nothing....unless I don’t understand what “over the top help” means.

you dont. underneath coverage would be defined as something under 9 or so yards usually. Having over the top help means if a Safety is deep compared to the CB then he has over the top coverage thus can fire skills fully.

.
Agree....zone did not get a big buff. The EOTP change did nothing and it is now harder to deflect passes.

No...they still have to have over the top coverage for it to fire. It wouldn’t fire on the safety....it would fire for the CB. They still need over the top coverage.
Now if they would get rid of “over the top” then it would fire on the safety.

“Zone Shark and Eyes on the Prize SAs now just require help over the top while in any type of zone, as opposed to requiring underneath zone coverage only“

I guess the real question is what constitutes over the top help? Any defender further back? Does he have to be directly behind him? Can he be across the field?
A CB dropping on deep zone will never have another defender behind him.

Yeah the one unfortunate change is I wanted to see Zone Shark work for Safeties and they did nothing to address that.
You could already put a Safety underneath if you really wanted to, but you'd just being denying Zone SAs on a different person on the field. The fact of the matter is, no matter who on your team is playing the deep zones on your team, they don't get the benefit of any Zone related SAs and that's just silly.

Let me see how Holieway fares

if it fired for a safety that is over the top too it would be unfair you dumbass. Literally think about what everyone is saying about LB causing too many INT. I have said that CB should make more than LB, because thats more natural. If every position on your defense could pick off like your LB then no team could ever pass on you with the way the mechanics works. You would get 10+ INT a game. Please think clearly about whats best for the overall game not what you want.
Xars pointed out that if they just made a small adjustment it would be balanced. Still builds getting INT that are designed for. You want them to make it where all defenders regardless of field position should get INT all over the place. That is the stupid damn thing i have heard anyone suggest. They clearly just made an adjustment so that your CB can get more INT now as long as they are not the only deep man.
Zone defedners that are the deepest guys never get many INT, why you ask? Because if they go for picks, they miss and let touchdowns. That is very basic game knowledge of defense. Things still have to make some football sense even if it is a game that works different.

Still doesn’t change the fact that the change to EOTP did nothing...so stop saying zone was buffed. Also it is harder to deflect passes.
If anything, passing was nerfed.

I agree, EotP should never fire on the over the top. I just want Zone Shark to fire for them.

Zone was buffed indirectly from these changes by passing power being more encouraged which plays right into what Zone wants. If the minimum angle isn't found to be quite substantial, which early indications are that it isn't - then this is a large buff to zone.

This. I appreciate the Devs listening to suggestions. I'm just perplexed to see the passing angle issue handled this way, and OTR/Rec awr nerfed

Sure I will agree that passing got nerfed. And what does passing getting nerfed do for zone defense? It makes it even better. And go watch the scrimmages my team have been in. Those defenses looked better against the pass, not just the pass worse. And they did make zone shark better.

Now create off that - Tiger plays, Blitzes, etc.
Mismatching the Offensive formation and personnel should have a bigger penalty than it currently does. Stop defending stupid play calling and create something better.
You can all start saying "Xars is right" now.
