1980s has a mountain to climb...but at the top is the GLB Gold Chalice....which we will reclaim as rightfully ours

No...we will be passing after rookie. It will be like 70/30 run/pass in Vet.

Isn't this "catch in traffic"?

Yes. It's all three, but basically yes.

How much effect does pass power have in the WRs catching the pass?

The longer the ball is in the air, the greater the chance of interference from the defender, especially regarding interceptions. So pass power has some effect. You'll also need more energy to throw more powerful passes, and from what I can tell your QB is usually tanked on energy. So you'll have to improve your conditioning first to really get a benefit from adding more power.

Generally speaking, I think it's a good idea to have just enough (and no more) power to meet the threshold for making your long throws, especially in your case considering you're a play action team that focuses on longer-developing plays. Scale up your power little by little until you notice your QB comfortably making the throws you need him to, and then stop adding more until everything else is taken care of.

It's Essay time!

Week 4

Egg League

Mediocre Maniacs vs Buffalo Bulls
Bulls on their way to a 5th victory with this one! Kbg is inactive and the Bulls have a surprisingly good record at 4-2.

1980s Rule Clown World Fools vs Intimidation Factor
iRock came out of nowhere bought a team and has a genuinely somewhat filled roster. This is a risky one, because currently no onw on this team has a high contract. I see iRock coming in with an upset.

(dramatic music intensifies)Jarvis Street Coffee Squirrels vs HOLY GUACAMOLE!
My personal choice for game of the week regardless of the league. No idea who is winning but I'm going with jarvis. They have had a few losses, but they have been competitive in every game they have played so far. Sadly Holy Guac fell victim in iRockVan's march to the sea. Jarvis also finds themselves a couple spots ahead of Guac on the power rankings. Other than that these teams are neck and neck as far as I'm concerned.

Davis Empire Tigers vs Scranton Scramblers
Okay so seeing as I actually have a motivation to get these predictions right as I'm publicly keeping track of my record, Ima do myself a favor here and stop betting against Scranton.

GAME OF DA WEEK!
Team BETA vs Fairhaven Blue Knights
I finally have a win on PH33P! Only took me an entire year....

Palm Leauge

Game OF DA Week!
The Flying Kaze vs Prisoner's Dilema
Prisoner's Dilema is 6-0 and #1 on the ladder rankings. Why are we not panicking? When do these dudes face Nevada? SOMEONE PLEASE STOP THEM.

PREMATURE ACCELERATION vs Wiggle Warriors
PH33P got all his warriors wigglin' on high contracts. There is a joke in here somewhere with teams called "Wiggle" and "Premature Acceleration" but I can't think of it so someone else do it for me.

Overall Prediction record 15-7-1
68% Accuracy rate

Hey! I got all the game right last week! I almost have a C now!

Yep, and that's the #1 receiver skill you should be pumping in rookie, even before hands.

You and Xars should chat. He said to only pump hands and consistently.

You need Rec Hands to start. My target is 50. Otherwise you get killed by drops. Pass Tech to 50 also on the QB. These 2 skill targets take your drop rate below 5%.

Then Consistency and Catch in Traffic. You’ll probably want 50 Sprinting on your receivers too so they can get down field far enough to beat the blitz.

Over time, my CiT scores become a lot higher than Rec Hands.

But that’s because I don’t build Elusive-types.

I should write up a diagnosis post of how you watch games and what to look for. I’ve watched some many plays over the last 8 years, it’s way past second nature for me.

My God ... I can’t even imagine how many times I’ve seen TE Drive. 🤣

Well my rookie QB last season threw for 54% and ran for 6.6 ypc

Higher Pass Tech will allows receivers to catch with lower hands. And high CiT allows them to catch consistently even when covered during rookie, while giving up less ints.

If you're going pure pass, then def pump Tech still as #1, but would go with accuracy as #2. Consistently is bigger later on, imo

God the amount of games I have watched is insane as well. Hell I remember you had that one team that ran every play to just go to the te or the we3 and it damn well did
