oops - I thought that was the thread where the guy was complaining that CPU players needed to be nerfed because he lost to Cugel

Ok - 25 games into the season and it is time for an update. I haven't watched. Thought I would take a little more detailed look.

Science Fair: 18-7 - I think we beat one top 10 opponent in Muttley's turtles or whatever - not sure if we beat any others. 6 of our 10 losses were within 10 points - so with some RNG help (and better coaching) - I think we could be a lot better than 18-7. I got blown out by DD - but a: he's good and b: I tossed together some random terrible defense with a bunch of broken plays...and I changed up my O to include some pass plays that he just obliterated with ZEB (so I would sum that up as I probably got out coached...or I made a bunch of mistakes).

Currently sitting at #11 in the ladder and likely to be the #1 seed in the playoffs.

All told I've run 18 different inside running plays
17 outside runs
4 off tackles
28 passing plays
(kind of cheating though because Viper coached for me on 5 or 6 games when i was out of town)

The bulk of my passing: 702 of my 1865 passing plays were Big I TE Crosses - completed 50.6% for 10.6 per catch. It is my opinion that this play is overpowered. I wish there was a defensive play that would shut it down better in rookie.

Bulk of my defense: Zero Edge Blitz

---------------------------------------------------------
Pink and Black Attack - 18-6-1 (currently #10 in ladder) - 3 of their losses within 3. They have beaten some good teams too but I don't keep track very well. They are playoff bound.

Looking at their offense:
17 inside runs
8 outside
1 off tackle
47 passes

The bulk of their offense is 838 of 2065 passes - was SG WR Hook and Big I TE Crosses.

The majority of their defense is ZEB / Shallow Will / OWMB1

------------------------------------------------------------

Fvck 16-9 and 18th in ladder. 4 of their losses within 10 - playoff bound

They have run on O:
8 inside
7 outside
2 off tackle
12 pass plays

They've tried a lot more QB rollouts than the other teams. Their passing isn't as spammy - though that could be because they invested in a running QB.

On D: they are very heavy on ZEB and OWMB1.

no surprise there I think. For those with experience:

Spam ZEB / Shallows / OWMB1

Spam Big I TE Cross / hooks / and 3-4 others

Build fast blitzers
Build TEs who can catch

Blow out newbs.

That's a fundamental flaw in GLB2 IMHO.

Should be a Rookie Challenge

No ZEB / Shallows / OWMB1/ Engage 8

No Big I TE Cross / SG WR hooks / SB TE Post/ I FL Hitch

Hmm, Rookie Challenge teams should try and replicate what they're doing with Zone D...for funsies. At least Cover 3 Tiger can generate pressure well.

since the goal is to win some games...that kind of goes against the plan...

I have run some zone this season. who knows - maybe some of my MLB/CB/SS/FS have zone investments....beats me

Good Game Wildcats. That started ugly and we never recovered (you caused a sack fumble on our first offensive play that you turned into a touchdown).
