The throw it deep every single pass thing is very old. It's easier to catch a 20 yard pass in double coverage than it is a 5 yard hook route wide open.

I don't agree that it is "easier" (well besides some screens which the solution seems easy to me there). It is just a more efficient strategy. It always has been. In both games. The way they drew that back in GLB1 was make interception builds crazy good.

As far as all running not being realistic. I argued that long ago. Though I would argue that it also isnt realistic that all the formations don't have mirrored plays both ways and the way off tackles are paired with outside runs only makes it silly stupid. That even hurts balanced teams.

Honestly I am just a bit irritated that after all these seasons I finally gave in and put a running team together and after taking second in rookie they decide to just kill it all together.

Half the battle of short passes is super awful progressions also. A couple switches in progressions could make every play in the book viable short/medium/long.

Wat?! Those Nebraska and OU option teams in the 80s put up 60 points a game routinely.

Hehehe . . . One of my favorite moments in the history of the Web was my Pain Nation defense bringing mighty Zorn to their death In the championship ship game.

You know I had an inkling of doubt when i said what i said but this further proves it. Sunday Funday won their opening rookie trophy and then they reset and lost to zorp reset and still didnt win.

Did Zorp not do a sophomore season? I feel like they did?

Kinda wish homages QB had went the entire road because I honestly think he would have ended the best QB ever to this point. Lack of chem hit at
QB and homage and whatje putting together the best WR crews in every tier was pretty awesome. Probably would have done better with Rappers than OG GLB at that point...

Zorp had a sophomore season in season three, but owner went inactive really quickly into the season.

It would be very interesting if they let coordinators set progressions in plays...although that would most likely buff passing ever more.

Routinely....

Oklahoma from 1980-89 scored over 60 points 9 times
Nebraska from 1980-89 scored over 60 points 11 times

What do nearly all of those games have in common....weak opponents.

Yeah, even the 95 cornhuskers only did it 4 times.

I'd argue the new air raid spread offenses are higher scoring, if only due to the absurd playcounts they can induce in a game.
