Lost Lounge which doesn't play zone has exactly the same no ability to stop deep passing games that Yorick has. I just hadn't run into a really good passing team on Yorick until the other day so dropped passes made up for what was wrong with the zone defenses.

I really do expect that by the end of this season, Corndog's offseason coverage changes which looked so cool when we first saw them will be hated as it becomes clear that nobody can cover the Barry Allen-type WR's anymore, and that they'll have the hands skills to actually catch passes.

what about here? You are running the same defensive plays and you got gashed on defense.

Ya know, pointing at a HB running team as a reason why QB Rollout is OP is kinda silly...

Ah ok that makes more sense. And you can cover Barry allen-type WR's you just need to play a passive C2 with high range Safties. Just like in real life you need to have some sort of pressure up front.

Really...how do you cover against WR3 here...

Or WR2 here...

And who cares if you do cover...

Those are not even good examples...those first 2 Cornerbacks are terrible. One is a unboosted Seasoned back against one of the top passing attacks in the game, The 2nd somehow only has 35 Awareness and 35 Coverage Technique.

Pretty sure you can pull as many examples as I can of CB's being beaten on the turn in the passing game since that became a thing this season.

And I'm just as sure you can pull lots of examples of Cover 2 giving up receptions to double covered WR's as well.

I mean, your defense is giving up 8 or 9 times more passing yardage than rushing yardage, and it's not because you don't know what you're doing...

I completely agree that the passing game is backwards with it being easier to complete a 30 yard pass than it is a 5 yard pass. Those numbers are pretty skewed since I'm usually blowing teams out by the end of the 1st QTR and they go into desperation mode.

Heh. That sounds like the Yorick scrim I just ran without any QB Rollout (Quincy finished with 1 carry for -1 yards) at all where we jumped out to a big lead only to watch my D give up 19 in the 4th to make it look a lot closer than it ever was.

I wouldn't say it is "easier" to complete a 30 yard pass than a 5 yard pass. Certainly preferred though in the matter of spending 3 straight downs trying to get yards.

the absolute perfect example of the utter garbage the xavori posts out here. He doesn't even watch film. He obviously doesn't look at builds. he just comes here and spouts falsities...and assumes no one will check into it.

I think Xav is half right,at the moment teams aren't built to deal with barry allens. but when cbs start getting some speed I feel barry allen wrs will fall off the map as usually their caps for receiving arent so great.

yeah but, pass coverage has been broken for awhile. Eventually it'll get fixed, right? On these type of long passes it always seems like pass deflection range is more of a radius and not a 3d bubble. It needs to pick incoming passes from above long before they currently are.

I dunno, I mean with enough vertical maybe that CB would have made a leap to intercept/deflect.
