I don't know... I didn't have time to do a census beyond the Rookie class on Day 39.

Too busy with owner stuff, so I probably won't, but I basically just made creative use of the Search function plus basic math skills.

I doubt anyone, even Deathblade, still disputes GLB1's terminal prognosis. But if you want to see a sad and somewhat shocking testimony, click: http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/leagues.pl

Even sadder for someone like me who is sitting on a boatload of flex. I will never be able to use it all unless WG makes another game that I actually find somewhat interesting.

Yea I actually looked at that last night and realized the sad state of the game. There has always been a low number of semipro leagues since they switched to the age based leagues... but to only have 2 University and 3 each rookie and prep is pretty bad. Only a few seasons away from only being 1 semipro league

And there are a bunch of CPU teams in the ones left as well.

Just to continue, let's compare the pace of the Rookie Class of Season 41 to the pace of the Rookie Class of Season 40.

Right now, it's Day -7. At this point last year, the Rookie Class of Season 40 was right around 7,600 dots or so. (It was at exactly 7,214 two days earlier on Day 48, and it was at exactly 7,814 one day later on Day -6, so 7,600 is a good estimate.) { Source: http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=5154951&page=4#48205078 }

Compare that to the current size of the Rookie Class of Season 41: 6,528.

Basically, this season's Rookie Class is about 1,000 dots behind the pace of last season's Rookie Class.

-----

So, is there where Cornblade drops by and repeats last pre-season's completely unsubstantiated and ludicrous claim that a couple of new accounts just bought Hall Of Fame Packages?

I still don't think it's too late to save this game. But make no mistake, it needs saving. And it will only be saved if Bort and Co. agree with that and decide to take action now. The longer they wait, the more inevitable GLB's death becomes.
