Thats what they do. Inside runs all day with an occasional screen outside run. But if they fail to get a 1st down. Its a short crossing route. Nothing wrong with it. Its what a ton of teams do. If I didnt have a rushing QB I would do it too probably.

i dont plan for anything. The rare occasion I do scout and set tactics(last time was this game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=2467452 the S37 title game) I only adjust offense. Defense has been untouched since I made it in S31 and it will remain that way. Only cause on avg there is 4 outputs for each input. And there is an input for damn near every situation and different personnel package. And each output with the same % and on medium auto adjust.

edit: also for fun just checked the scout tool on one of your games. 3rd and 4 or less you ran 6 out of 6 times. 3rd and 5+ you passed 14/14 times. And all 14 pass plays had the routes I was talking about. So see even without me scouting and only watching my games after they sim I pick up on these things.

Not true for Broomfield. Look at our recent scrimmages against you. What we do on 3rd and 4th down skews the numbers because we usually have 3rd and relatively short yards to go for a first down.

Regardless, it doesn't matter. We are built to run the ball primarily, both inside and outside. Things will open up more in the pros, but we are what we are at these levels and make no apologies for it.
