Your first faulty premise is that being 8-0 in a bottom-dweller league full of terribad teams actually means something. We've already addressed that, but you keep ignoring it so you can ask me if I lift. Whatever.

Your second faulty premise is that if Team A beats Team B, and if Team B beats Team C, that must automatically mean that Team A will beat Team C. And I've put together more than enough late-season playoff scenario posts in GLB league forums in the past to know that there are plenty of 3-way ties in the standings that have to be settled by Points-Allowed because Head-To-Head Record doesn't work due to Team A beating Team B, Team B beating Team C, and Team C beating Team A. It happens more often then you realize. Gameplans can make a difference. So can individual matchups. So can pure, dumb luck.

I think you're also forgetting that CPU teams automatically scale up or down based on the opponent's level. So, when Portland (average level 56) and Prague (average level 47) both play a CPU team like East Coast, East Coast CPU is going to be stronger against Portland and weaker against Prague. And Portland's average level is higher -- WAY higher -- than most of the teams in your league.

So, no. Being 8-0 in this league does not mean you're any good. And no, if Portland beats Prague, and Prague beats East Coast, that does not automatically mean that Portland is going to beat East Coast.

No the premise is that almost never, in the history of linear sim results (which is a cold hard fact), does a 1-7 CPU team from the minors beat an 8-0 human team from the minors that has beaten all the teams that the 1-7 CPU team has lost to.

In addition the CPU scaling idea destroys everything you've blithered on about elite leagues in this thread, so good job destroying your own argument.

"Linear sim results" means "If Team A beat Team B, and Team B beat Team C, Team A will AUTOMATICALLY beat Team C."

And again, you keep bringing up your 8-0 record as if it means something. In this league, 8-0 means nothing. Most of the teams you've beaten are either CPU teams, have heavy amounts of CPU dots on their rosters, are heavily outleveled by you, or have terrible builds as evidenced by their low effective level. If your team is so good, why did you demote down from Competitive last year after going 5-11? Good teams don't demote down from Competitive.

CPU scaling means the CPU team's DOTS scale up. The CPU team's GAMEPLAN, however, does NOT scale up.

Teams in Elite usually have good builds AND good gameplans, so they'll beat a CPU team without having to lift a finger.

Portland has good builds, but NO gamplanning at all, according to Portland's owner JT HOOD earlier in this thread. As such, you went into the game against East Coast CPU with better dots but no gameplan, caught some bad luck, and lost in an upset. That's it. That's not evidence that CPU dots are overpowered. That's evidence that if you don't gameplan, upsets can happen.
