if you think respectable people like Miley Cyrus. Most Miley Cyrus record sales are probably gifts for children.

So your argument is respectable people (Highly questionable to begin with) listen to Nickelback
so that makes them talented?

This just gets funnier and funnier

That song that begins with "I like your pants around your ankles..." is all the rage in society's higher circles.

it's "i like your pants around your feet", and that song is about a lot more than casual sex. it's about an ex-girflriend of his who went down the wrong path, getting involved with hard drugs and hells angels and shit, and his gradual acceptance of her not being the sort of person he wants to be with.

Also, didn't they do a song about domestic violence? They don't have to do things like that. They're successful and popular, but they still want to put out a good message. I don't understand why people want to hate them or the majority who like their music.

Why did Nickelback cross the road?

Because Metallica did it first.

DId you ever actually DO research on a guitar in the history of modern rock music? they are held a specific way because it resembles something most guys do every night. WACK OFF. you hold it at the shaft, and wack it with the other hand. I sound more stupid that i'm trying, and i wish i could say it a little more smarter. but it's true. Modern rock music is all about splurging, whether it be in the back of limo, on a loved ones face, or in a dressing room.
Of course, I'm trying to put this in a way where you ACTUALLY take this seriously. nickelback and bands like linkin park are WICKED to listen to whilst driving in your car. you feel invincible. but when a guy feels invicible , the first thing on his mind is gettin head. if it's not, you most likely play in a band like pavement, and band that will NEVER achieve the stardom they want, because they aren't following the structure of a top 40 song, which is basically following the structure of a human beings mind.
if everyone in the world followed THAT structure, everyone would get along. they'red be no wars, no crime, everyone could just chill and rock out. and i'm not saying you guys are bad people, i'm just saying, look at this thread...your'e all tearing into me (well, most of you)

there's a very interesting argument about music going on in this post.

not sure i agree with it completely, but its hard to say its not at least partially valid.

Poison’s Nothin’ but a Good Time addresses the average American’s stressful work day and tells us that its ok to relax and have a good time when we need it. Twisted Sister’s Were not Gonna Take it acts as a modern reinforcement of Locke’s social contract and advises us to take action against oppressive authorities that infringe on our right to rock. REO Speedwagon’s Ridin’ the Storm Out, parallels modern weather catastrophes like hurricane Katrina and invokes a feeling of hope and determination to make it through.

But is her path really wrong in her eyes if she wants to go down that path? And who is her ex to judge her? It's not like he is some successful singer in a band!
