I know I'm not a WLer, but I had to respond to this absolute idiocy. I assume you are referring to the 2002 Rose Bowl, a game in which Crouch rushed 22 times for 114 yards. Just because the team got smacked doesn't mean Eric Crouch sucks. So he went 5-15 passing with an INT? Nebraska, due to lolDC Craig Bohl, got down early and was forced away from it's game. Crouch was a 50% range passer his whole career, so the fact that he couldn't pass when the best team in the country was keying on the pass, wasn't surprising.

right, obviously the only solution is to punish the smaller school

On Day 41, the WL champion will play the Casual Pro champion to determine the REAL champion of intergalactic dotball. We're going to disregard the fact that the Casual Pro team had a significantly easier road to travel because we don't want to "punish" them.

Wake the fuck up.

i know this may get complicated so i will use emoticons as a visual aid:

boise state compiles a good record on the schedule they have -

boise state gets shit on by the "college football powers that be" because they decree their schedule to be too easy -

boise state wants some respect/credibility in da BCS system -

boise state tries to improve the "strength" of their schedule by reaching out to larger schools -

larger schools won't agree to schedule boise state unless the agreement hilariously favors their side both competitively and financially -

boise state can't "improve" their schedule -

boise state compiles a good record on the schedule they have - THE CIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRCLE OF LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE

Maybe Ohio State should split gate revenue with Boise for a home-home, right? I mean ... the Horseshoe only holds about 70K more than the Smurf Turf. Major universities within the BCS rely on the football program to fund all the other non-revenue sports (read: women's gymnastics and other assorted crap). Playing Boise for lulz doesn't hit the radar of shit to do for an athletic director. Making money is crucial.

Nailed it...It's all about $. Why would the big dogs want to play a team that will cost you $ to play? No way you agree to do any games at their house. Next, if you lose and your bowl bid plummets, that costs you money, even if you hosted the game. The big dogs don't need to play Boise. Their conferences typically aren't weak. On the flip side, There is all the incentive in the world to play Match Book Cover U instead. It's one less real game they have to worry about. It inflates the stats of their stars, which can be a small help in recruiting, and their fans will fill the stadium anyway. Unless something changes in way finances are handled, and I doubt that will happen, teams like Boise will always have weak schedules, So, do you grant a college team the benefit of the doubt when they play nothing but glorified High School teams or do you give the nod to the teams with 1 loss, but played 5+ games against some of the best in college football?

Well I'm not being that serious either, I was simply pointing out a flaw in your statement. There were many examples you could have chosen to make your point. I was just making sure that, in the future, you would pick a better example
