Not a lot of change at the top of Lion but the bottom 9 has seen some massive movement with everyone beating each other and the rising up of both Silverbacks.
WEEK 6 - LION1 Fulham Flying Hellfish (6-0) - Talk about a comeback. The Hellfish were in a bad state at the end of the first half as they fell behind 14-38. The second half was a complete reversal though as they shut out Franchise and posted 39 points of their own to stay undefeated.
2 Massawa Redhorns (6-0) - Everyone's wondering if the Redhorns are for real. At 6-0 it would seem that way but with Franchise, Fulham and Cagliari still on the schedule anything can change.
3 Cagliari Outbreak (5-1) - The dominations continued this week against Wallachia. Week 8 against CWE is shaping up to be a great game.
4 Carthaginian War Elephants (5-1) - It's becoming clear that there are about 5 teams at the top of Lion that will spend the season beating up on each other while dominating everyone else. CWE is one of those teams.
5 Franchise (4-2) - For 2 quarters the Franchise looked like it would live up to its name and take down the #1 ranked Lion team. But then it all fell apart in the second half as the offense became inept and the defense was porous.
6 Wallachia Wamphyri (4-2) - After 6 weeks it would appear the Wamphyri have no problem beating mid to low ranked teams but haven't been able to compete against the top teams. With a few of those lower ranked teams starting to pull it together Wallachia had better stay on top of things and start finding ways to beat teams with a winning record.
7 San Francisco Demons (4-2) - The Demons got the first taste of newly minted CPU team Ironton.
8 Sahara Storm (2-4) - The next 3 weeks should prove interesting for Sahara as they face 3 teams struggling this season.
9 Sun City Undertakers (2-4) - A strong win for the Undertakers. They'll need to replicate this effort to get a win over the newly motivated Zambezi squad next week.
10 LHC Naked Turtles (2-4) - A week after taking Sterling to the wood shed, LHC gets taken back themselves by a team Sterling beat.
11 West Yorkshire Bandits (2-4) - The Bandits need to find a way to start stringing together some victories. With Sahara and Kenya struggling, the next 2 weeks could get them back to .500.
12 Uganda Silverbacks (2-4) - Nice win for Uganda as they stifled Kenya's much vaunted aerial attack.
13 Zambezi Silverbacks (2-4) - Back to back wins for the 'Backs. Can they make it three in a row before they enter a rough 4 game stretch that could see them lose all the ground they've gained.
14 Kenya Diggits (1-5) - This is the same team that put 66 points up on Cagliari? 55 on the Demons? 14 against Uganda didn't get them anywhere.
15 Sterling Bulldawgs (1-5) - In a game that saw big play after big play for both teams the Bulldawgs couldn't keep up with Zambezi's offensive output.
16 IRONTON TANKS (1-5) - The Tanks are now a CPU team making them the lowest team.
Some shifting around everywhere but the biggest move was TBH which I'm sure is a bit controversial but another week of games could flip this all around again.
WEEK 6 - ELEPHANT1 Nairobi Warthogs (6-0) - The Warthogs were the only Predators on the field this week.
2 Sons of Anubis (6-0) - The Sons have been in Nairobi's shadow this season but if they can keep it up than week 15 could be the biggest match of the season.
3 The Dead Presidents (5-1) - TDP has been playing some great ball for weeks now but the second half of their schedule looks to be way tougher than the first half starting with week 8 against the Rhinos.
4 The Black Hand (3-3) - Why such a large jump for TBH? 3 game win streak for starters but they dominated Zimbabwe and jumped out to a huge lead against the Rhinos for another win. By the way, you're welcome rj.
5 Windhoek White Rhinos (3-3) - The Rhinos fell behind in the first half and couldn't dig out of the hole. Apparently, it's all my fault.
6 Zimbabwe Rebels (3-3) - The Rebels put up a hell of a fight but it wasn't enough in the end. They've got a nice stretch of games the next month that could help with a playoff push down the road.
7 Black Sea Sunami (3-3) - Same story as ABD. They need to string together a winning streak but I don't see that happening until later in the second half of the season.
8 Angola Blood Diamonds (3-3) - W-L-W-L-W-L. That's been the rollercoaster season ABD has had so far. They have a shot at stringing together 2 wins a row next BUT there's also the potential of losing the 2 after that. Can ABD break this pattern?
9 Ivory Coast Breakers (4-2) - So what if ICB hasn't beaten a top team except for TBH this season. I know they're good. You know they're good. That moves them up slightly.
10 Guyana Generalissimo's (4-2) - I still need to see a win over a quality opponent before I sip this kool-aid. Too bad Nairobi is up next.
11 The African Predators (3-3) - Lost a game we knew they would. Now they can show IF they're potential playoff material by beating ICB, Zimbabwe & Kickin the next 3 weeks.
12 Ron's Texans (1-5) - The Texans move up thanks to the Tigers.
13 MaRAWK!!o Evil Aces (1-5) - Turnovers bad.
14 Darfur Depopulators (1-5) - Win #1 comes in sound fashion. Darfur put up the games first 27 points before Kickin tried to mount a comeback.
15 Kickin Djibouti (1-5) - Kickin Whosbouti?
16 Wrightstown Tigers (0-6) - The Tigers are now officially the only winless team remaining in APL.
