Not to be disrespectful NeMe$i$, but MG is for real. I played them twice last season and lost both times, and I went 12-4 in Gold with a #2 seed! That means they are not a team to be taken lightly. In fact, they had a good record against Gold last season and are easily one of the better teams promoted to Gold. You played a really good team close and lost at the end, nothing to cry about.

Not exactly the best move to make... funny thing is we won our last game... normally he only rants like this after a loss. Was this still about the Maine game?

Thanks Gerr. It's really good to be in gold and the competition is much tougher than I ever imagined. I always had a lot of respect for gold teams but I guess you have to experience it to know how tough it really is here.
It's really a humbling experience, and I'm just happy to be here to be quite honest.
It's like when college players make a transition to NFL. You just have to start all over again and not get carried away with your college success. Just look at OBBT. I thought they were one of the two teams (other being FT) that were most gold league ready. OBBT is still a great team but it shows how tough the gold is.

Great post (all of it even though I only quoted this). It's what those of us that have been here a while have been saying for many seasons. The down side is that it really, really beats you down after a while. I personally am just about spent on Gold. I'm tired of seeing a set of plays/dots work perfectly one game to find they let the ball clank right off their helmet next game or fall down when they're wide open -- that or to give up 4 ST scores in one game. I love Pee Wee, but the intensity of Gold combined with the fun I'm having coordinating a higher level team is just crushing my personal Gold enthusiasm. It really can push you.
That's why so much credit should be given to those teams that get here and stay a long, long time.

Yeah Grenadiers are one team that have always shown respect to gold league teams. I've said this before but the best minds in GLB are all in PW gold. I used to DC pro league teams and it's nothing compare to DCing in PW where you have to pay attention to all the finer details. You can get away with a lot of stuff in higher league because the builds are so good.
I personally think Bort should hand out reward points to gold league champion and runner-up. They deserve it!

No better team to take my place in Gold this year IMO. You deserve it Raph. I've seen many teams call the same play over and over again and people only get pissed when it works. LOL Lord knows I've had auto adjust on and it screwed me by calling the same 1 yard gain repeatedly. I have since stopped using auto. He should have fixed his defense to stop that gaping hole.

my take is ninja boosting is a part of Gold.... now with max xp, boosting is even more a part of a team's regular season strategy regardless of record... why boost a day in advance and let your opponent know? I don't like it when it happens to me, but I've done it multiple times the past few seasons...
exploiting a weakness is part of Gold and football too. you wanna roll with speed based DEs in Pee Wee - then opposing teams should run at them... even though Pee Wee's overall offensive balance is decent right now.. there are still limited amount of good plays to call. Why run plays you know will get you 2 yards a carry when there's a couple that will get you 3 or 4?

I totally agree. I only brought out the ninja boosting, just to point out dtown's double standard. It's all part of the game and it's owner/coordinator's job to make adjustments.

There was no ninja boosting just FYI. There are 3 dots on his roster that are level 4 -- all owned by the same guy. The forum is cleaned out, but I'm 99.9999999% positive the owners little brother logged in and boosted the 3 dots one level (and was going to do more) before the guy caught him. At the time it was brought up in the thread, the guy hadn't even assigned the SP yet and was holding them.
Just wanted to clear the air on that one.

Yeah thanks for letting me know but this wasn't the first time they have done this. He is a sore loser and a hypocrite for criticizing teams for calling certain plays while his team has been one of the biggest beneficiary of early boosting and lvl advantage. If he wants to turn this into a nitpicking war, he is certainly not going to win.
Just in this game alone, I could of easily pointed out the fact that they had close to 10 point advantage in player value. Also their kick return TD which was result of a broken sim. We also failed to convert any points when we were 5 yards away from scoring a TD. (missed an easy FG) However, I'm not like him and I would have never brought this out if he didn't come out as a total jerk bag.

Thanks! You are right, there are a lot of good teams that does this. I don't mind the complaining but at least show some class.

arite enough chatter about it...its over with and done
everyone gets into it w Dtown sooner or later, but the guy isnt a bad guy, just lets his emotions get the best of him on here. he has on more than one occasion provided useful helpful information to me and probably most of the other owners on here. not to mention he has been up in gold for quite a few years
so now that everyone wants to take shots at the guy because he's forum banned, its not very bold...especially if your nothing more than a lolgm

Fair enough, I don't think he is essentially a bad guy either. If he wants to continue this conversation, he can send me PM anytime. But he brought this on his own. If he can't take the heat, he shouldn't have stir things up in the first place. And don't worry, I'm done with him--I made my point and he made his, and that's it.
