We had a two score lead and the ball early in the first half and then a turnover seemed to shift the momentum.
And losing by 8 pts in a game where our kicker went 0/3 on fg attempts is particularly painful.
It's good to see that with all the changes made to the game this year, our penchant for shooting ourselves in the foot has remained.
"Clawing back" ...that's quite funny, since your 14 points happened in the 1st quarter only. I would call it "clawing back" if we were in the 4th quarter and you guys were still up 14-0. But there were 3 more quarters still to play.
If you want to play the "What if" game in regards to your kicker's 3 missed FG's, then you can add the missed extra point by my own kicker as well, which would've put that game tied. However, to continue to play your "What if" game, 2 of the FG's were at the 10 and 11 yard line. So "what if" we actually scored 7 points in both those drives... yeah... game done... discussion done.
