I don't know what 1-15 season this is, or anything else you're talking about. Telling you that BFM was trying to be competitive after the merge and obviously before ksychic stopped caring. I (and I don't think anyone else) really cares, beyond that.

I just got pissed off that I was attacked when I said BFM was p much a gutjob a season or two ago. And one of the people that attacked me is vocalizing the exact same point I made.

BFM was 100% trying to put out a competitive roster the season after the "gutting". Now it turned out that the roster WASN'T competitive and that the chem hit really crushed BFM since their talent was marginal to begin with, but they were built to be competitive even if they weren't. The fact that BFM wasn't competitive wasn't any big deal to anyone involved with the team because we all recognized that it was p much a long shot to try and get a 2nd playoff berth and just had some fun for the rest of the season.

And, by "gutting" the team really just got rid of a lot of their core players in order to try to rebuild with younger players, hoping they would be just good enough to stick around for another season.

I was just saying the whole "trying to stay competitive thing" was dumped very early on in the season. I wasn't technically talking about the intentions, more the execution.

Ehhh not nearly as early as you think. I was a part of that BFM team and, while it wasn't a huge shocker when we were getting pounded, most of us were holding out hope that the regenning chem would make us at least a somewhat competitive team.

but honestly you mentioned LOL was the championship caliber team from APL and just trying to point out that they didn't even make the APL final that season (the last one before they gutted)

if anything there was more gameplanning going on for bfm than there was for halifax, because we knew halifax could cruise into playoffs.

so does that mean that halifax wasn't "trying to be competitive"?

because in that case, lol at the rest of the game for losing to a team that wasn't trying to be competitive.
