I'm not exactly sure how this is clear...

Matty Bigfoot has not missed any FGs within 40 yards (Dick has missed one). Matty has a higher FG% of 40-49 attempts than Dick, and has made a 50+ FG (Dick hasn't had an attempt over 50 yet).

Additionally, Matty Bigfoot has made 100% of his XP (granted we haven't scored many TDs, but he's been perfect), whereas Dick has missed 2XPs.

The only thing that Dick has on Matty is overall FG percentage, but Matty has had 3 50+ attempts. Not taking into consideration FGs over 50 yards, Matty has a better FG%.

88.9% vs 84.9% is pretty clear to me. Doesn't matter where he kicks them from, he makes a higher percentage.

The only way a 88.9 should lose to an 84.9 would be if the lower % kicker kicked 10+ more FGs then the other one.

10+ FGs is arbitrary, but I can play this game.

Unfortunately for the point of this debate, Dick has not had an attempt at 50+ yards. Therefor, we can analyze the areas in which Matty has a better FG percentage than Dick.

Matty has a better or equal to FG percentage in extra points, 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49. He's also made more FGs (5 more, halfway to gtbice's "requirement").

The degree of difficulty for Matty's missed attempts is higher, and he shouldn't be punished for that. Granted, Dick shouldn't be punished for never having an attempt at 50+ FGs. However, if you look at what they have in common, Matty has performed better or equal to Dick in those ranges.

Anyway, my point is made and there is still one game left. We can just wait and see what the end season stats are. One missed FG in the last game would make my point moot.

after looking at the 2 kickers, I have made my decision on which one I think is on top, though my vote will come out after the last game of the season.

I skimmed over the games and Dick hasn't made one clutch FG the entire season.. Meanwhile Matty is pretty much the reason his team is in the playoffs and just because you kick a million fg's that would make the drive respectable that has no real pressure behind them is not MVP worthy. Matty also has a better % in EVERY single range category period. Under 40yards hes automatic, you've missed a couple chip shots, I believe the definition of that is sporadic, stats dont make a player great, performance under pressure does

All this is good and great, but which team has the best cheerleaders? And by best, I mean who will sleep with me?

We can argue all day about this. Fact is it doesn't matter. GLB gives out awards that actually count and show up for the career of the player. As far as I can tell There is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for Most Field Goals Made and Extra Points made.

Well, Dick closed out with 5/5 and Matty went 4/5 last game of the season. Shux

But Matty did kick a 54 yarder which would be the longest by far of anyone in this league I believe.

Dude from omaha kicked a 52 yarder. Don't know if there have been any farther than 54 though.

Edit: 54 is the farthest. 2-3 52 yarders and a 50.5 yarder.

You must not have skimmed well. Dick actually kicked a fg with 36 seconds left to secure a come from behind win against the Hitmen, yesterday! Point made, case closed!
