I did pretty good with my ladder picks last week (7-2) so here are my ladder picks for this week...

#1 9-0 Tosche Station Grenadiers vs #15 6-3 Mannheim Steamroller
Tosche Station is legit look for Mannheim to get steamrolled.

#2 8-1 PORN vs #16 5-4 Swamp Donkies (journeymen)
I would like to see my Swamp Donkies pull the upset...but I don't think that is going to happen. I have too much respect for Rob and his PORN.

#3 8-1 EEA vs #21 5-4 Seneca Hands of Fate
Seneca is going to need some serious hands of fate to upset EEA in this o ne.

#4 8-1 No Name vs #9 6-3 Marvel Avengers (journeymen)
This will be a test for No Name playing up a tier against a top 10 ranked team. I am going to be Fair and pick No Name to win a close one.

#5 8-1 EMNU Greyhounds vs #14 7-2 Fire Breathing Sharks
EMNU better be careful. FBS are better than a #14 rank. That being said I am going to pick EMNU to win a close one.

#6 8 -1 MW Storms vs. #21 4-5 The Fish (journeymen)
This has the makings of a trap game for the Storm. If they game plan properly they should be able to catch some fish but if they take The Fish for granted then this might be the big one that got away.

#7 8 -1 I've Still Never had Sex vs. #25 4-5 FBU Fire
This one is all I've Still Never Had Sex.

#8 8-1 Salty Runback vs #22 Weisswasser Turnovers
Salty drops to #8 after losing to EEA??? This game is a lock for Salty but won't help them too much with ELO.

#9 8-1 Empire's Zone Strikes Back vs 6-3 Sunderland Black Cats (journeymen)
I am picking the Black Cats to surprise Empire's Zone.

#10 7-2 Northern Uprising vs #18 4-5 Watchers of the Wall (journeymen)
Last week WotW surprised the Sperm Whale. I am going to pick them to do the same to NU this week.

ok I'm finally back this week after a 2 week hiatus so Id like to thank agerm for picking up the slack. Here goes nothing.

#1 9-0 Tosche Station Grenadiers vs #15 6-3 Mannheim Steamroller

I don't think Tosche are a legit top 5 team in seasoned though their win against the journeyman avengers was impressive. But I think they will probably lose to PORN, salty, No Name, HAHA, and Bloody when they face off but they are currently undefeated so you can't ignore that. Mannheim might give Tosche some trouble but assuming they have a solid defensive gameplan they'll be fine. Tosche wins 24-10.

#2 8-1 PORN vs #16 5-4 Swamp Donkies (journeymen)

PORN didn't do so well against the last journey team they faced but I don't Donkies are as good as the wildcats are. That being said this has the potential to be close. I'll take PORN 28-17.

#3 8-1 EEA vs #21 5-4 Seneca Hands of Fate

EEA is coming off a loss to PORN but that game aside they've been probably the 2nd best team in the tier and probably biggest surprise for me this season. They have an easy draw here and I think they'll coast. EEA wins 40-7

#4 8-1 No Name vs #9 6-3 Marvel Avengers (journeymen)

This is an interesting matchup with No Name pulling a solid journey team. No Name has a tall task ahead of them but frankly if Tosche can beat the avengers then No Name can too. No Name wins 24-17

#5 8-1 EMNU Greyhounds vs #14 7-2 Fire Breathing Sharks

Two powerful passing offenses. ENMU is currently overachieving while Sharks are better than their rank indicates. Similar to Tosche I don't think ENMU will finish as a top 5 team when all is said and done and I think this will be a big test for them. If they can win this game then maybe I'll respect them a little more but at the moment I dont. Sharks win 35-17.

#6 8 -1 NW Storms vs. #21 4-5 The Fish (journeymen)

Interesting game. Storm have an average journey team but the SP advantage will be difficult to overcome for Storm. That being said Storm are a pleasant surprise this season and I think they have enough to pull this one out. NW wins 21-13.

#7 8 -1 I've Still Never had Sex vs. #25 4-5 FBU Fire

Easy game for the virgins. Virgins win 45-6

#8 8-1 Salty Runback vs #22 Weisswasser Turnovers

Salty has dropped quite a bit with one loss. They're in my opinion the 3rd best team in the tier right now and probably will make their way up the ladder as we go but this win won't help much. They'll have to hope some teams lose who are ranked ahead of them for now.

#9 8-1 Empire's Zone Strikes Back vs 6-3 Sunderland Black Cats (journeymen)

GEs run in the top 10 probably ends here. As good as he thinks his team is its never going to compete with a competent team that's in the higher tiers. Sunderland wins 28-0.

#10 7-2 Northern Uprising vs #18 4-5 Watchers of the Wall (journeymen)

WotW will probably win this game. Uprising are slowly falling back to earth after their fast start and this game probably won't gonin their favor. Watchers win 31-10.

I am glad that you are back jfbueno. I was having fun posting predictions, even though I am not nearly as knowledgable as you. I might continue to do so just for the fun of it. Looks like we only disagree on one match-up.

The Salty game will help a lot cause the Turnovers are a tier higher I think.

Well it's hard for run teams to score consistently. Especially against a halfway decent higher tiered team

You're either running inside, off tackle, or outside. Not much to choose from.

You're kidding right? I see you're doing this often in scrims, but...I seriously doubt your players have the builds to make it work.

Are you adding new players to your team? If you open your QB/TE/WR builds, I'll tell you how well I think your passing offense can work in higher tiers.

Love the write ups from both of you!

I'm DC'n for Tosche this season and it's been quite a surprise thus far. Being ranked in the top 5 was not something we expected to happen and I do somewhat agree with your assessment about some of the teams you mentioned like HAHA and Salty since my NW Storm team faces them on a regular basis. Hopefully the solid D continues!

As for my NW Storms team, it's been quite a surprise and I'm under suspicion that the recent pass changes has boosted zone D somewhat. Zone teams appear to be doing well this season. I'm hoping for 2 wins tomorrow!

Definitely possible. Your Zone was confounding my QB. I think (but honestly have no idea) that my QB will be built better to attack your zone in the rematch. Sort of flying blind in regards to attacking your D.

lol, well, we think we're just getting lucky. Now that your offense is working on all cylinders, should be a good rematch! I swear, each season I debated on resetting my zone team, but this season I feel better about them. Maybe zone takes til seasoned to really kick into high gear? GE thoughts on that?
