Lizard Lick - Memphis was a great game, as expected. Unfortunately, we had some struggles in the red zone, and the River Rats' running game really showed up in a big way. With any luck, we'll see you guys again in the playoffs.

Today's game against Viridian should be another good one -- our 2nd straight game against a team sitting in the Top 2 in the East.

1 Barbarian Horde
2 Memphis River Rats
3 Lizard Lick Lizard Lickers
4 Richey Royals
5 San Francisco Fire
6 Viridian Vanguards
7 San Diego Demolition
8 Death Valley Grave Diggers
9 Driftless Area Gamers
10 Washington Slashers
11 Austin Beavers
12 Philadelphia Wolves
13 Oklahoma City Strikers
14 Coos Bay Black Chickens
15 Tennessee Fury
16 Chicago Hedgehogs
17 Dearborn Bullitt
18 Mentone Beach Assault
19 Buffalo Daggers
20 New England Red Celtics
21 Indianapolis Thunderhawks
22 Washington Wolfpack
23 Jacksonville Demon Sweat
24 New Orleans Fanboys
25 Denver Shockers
26 Tulsa Storm
27 Spokane Dream
28 Humboldt Harvesters
29 Saint Paul Vulcans
30 Murder City Devils
31 Seabrook Energy
32 Long Beach All-Stars

How are these sposed to be taken seriously when they have nothing to do with a teams record? You have teams with less wins above teams with more, this 'rating' is a joke.

Long Beach Vs. Spokane - Hopefully we can get our first win of the season. The match up shows that the teams are quite evenly balanced. Let's just hope we can get our tatics right

So your saying that any rankings that do not simply just list the win-loss record in exact order are a joke?

Because some teams have played easier competition than others. The only way the records will be full proof is at the end of the season. Not hard to understand.

Agreed. But in my mind they should still be two separate rankings using the statistical method. Human rankings you can combine, statistical should be by conference.

Clutch win by the Grave Diggers this afternoon! TD pass on a 50+ yard drive in the last 2 minutes...Big Road win! Great game San Fran!

True, the ratings go 2 ways and just making them based on one way is misleading. I dont really look at ratings much anyway but looking at that list after this week I think some changes need to be made ;o)

What I find hard to understand is having 1st and goal on the 0.5 yard line with less than two minutes to go and needing a field goal to win. Typically you'd kneel on it to run down the clock and take the easy field goal, instead of passing for the TD. But the Grave Diggers had a nice drive to take advantage. They even converted 4th and 4 when the ball was deflected.

Reminds me a lot of the last Super Bowl.

I know we (Tennessee Fury) are better than 15th overall. After all, our losses came (at the time) against undefeated teams. We've had some stiff competition, but managed to knock off #6 (Viridian Vanguard), which is a very good team. Since that time, we've won 4 games straight.

It's going to be an interesting matchup with Washington Slashers (7-1) this week. Despite the difference in the records (as they have only faced one quality team), our teams look fairly comparable. It should be a hard-fought, close game.

Please don't remind me of the last superbowl...

Yeah, while I share Warpriest's frustration with our 1st and Goal play calling (to say the least @#$@#$), that was a great drive, Gravediggers. You should give your Kicker a new contract.

USA #6 Western Conference RPI

I just calculated these and they are rough. 1/3 is your winning percentage, 1/3 your opponents winning percentage, 1/3 you scoring differential.

O.K. Owners place your votes. I've gotten 7 back so far. Make sure you are looking at both the east and the west. I need your top five total teams.

Players and GM's make sure you owner votes if they haven't already.
