You did "Bomb" us. You got hurried 5 times, sacked 3 times and threw an INT.

You got destroyed, sir.

Dude ... have you ever heard of gameplan adjustments and a revamped offense ? I think our last game pretty much speaks for itself. I dont think there is a team in the league who will beat our 83 points ...

Who cares how many you scored against Michigan? They're easilly the worst team in this league.

You only managed 13 against us, and you won't score that many if you play us in the playoffs.

Now go prepare for your Battle for Texas.

That'll be more of a test than Michigan.

Well, that's good that you're learning more about the game, and improving. That's more than I can say about most people in this game (I'm not referring to our league, but just from looking around the forums and at other leagues, it's fairly apparent that not all owners/GM's are actively trying to improve other than increasing the level of their players).

So that gives you an advantage over some teams, which will likely put you in the playoffs at the end of the season.

Although I wonder if Windsor (yes, I'm a bit biased ) or Ft. Campbell or Golden State could put up similar numbers if they played Michigan. Granted, Windsor does play them, but it's 9 games away, so by then they may replace some of their CPU players, or lose good players to other teams. Essentially, they could be a completely different team by then.

However, 83 is a lot, so apparently you've found something that works well.

Thanks,
StickMan

Thanks Stickman !

Good info.

PhireHawk knows that I enjoy a good rivalry, so we will both continue to flex our manhood all season long.

Adding high level players or boosting players isnt always the answer to winning. Sometimes its simply how you use the players you already have.

I guess we recruit much better then the average bear and anyone that we sign MUST be a member of the "BBC" because boosting is definitely a prereq to becoming a starter.

As to the Sun Tzu type wisdom about winning that keeps flowing from Madden land -

Your comments would hold MUCH more weight if you refrained from giving said advice until AFTER you figured out how to beat us

By the way, nice win - bet it was rough to get your JV squad ready to play the Pop Warner Champs from last year.

Diabolicals Hope Recife Aren't Vultures

Coming off their first loss of the season, the evil boys from Dread City(2-1) hope to rebound against the struggling Gulls from Recife (1-2). After smoking their first two opponents with a two back running approach over the first few weeks, the Diabolicals found themselves in a different situation in game three, trying to pass their way to victory. Now, they must make the travel to Recife, an arduous trip that involves planes, trains, and boats (since seemingly, no one built an airport in Recife, apparently unable to determine exactly where it is). One expects the Diebos' have learned their lesson, and the coaches are sure to return to the tandem of Tartabull and Miller that brought them so much success. You can be sure that last years team MVP Rake "the Snake" Rincher will put his disappointing performance from last week behind him, and will be ready to lead his squad to victory.

Standing opposite them is a Gull's D that has choked on more than a few fish lately. Struggling to contain the run, they've given up big yardage in most of their games. And, with the other teams able to control so much clock, their offense has been unable to consistantly put the ball in the end zone. The Gulls will have to get improving running back Karly Akoyte involved to bring some balance to their attack, and protect their young, but talented, QB. Who knows, with the home town crowd at their backs, and a favorable sea breeze in the air, it's entirely possible the Gulls could fly right by the Diebos' D for some quick scores, and a much needed win.

But expect that D from D.C. to be hungry after a listless, sloppy second half performance in week three. MLB Harper Heathrowe and the rest of the "goons" will be looking to prove something this week, and will most definitely try to get Gulls QB Chase Burges to live up to his name. As Al "Ferocious" Chavez Jr., starting CB for the Diebos' put it, "Fool us once, pain on you." Short, confusing, but definitely menacing.

If Dread City can get both sides of the ball working again, they should find themselves back to their winning ways. But, if the Gulls can access their inner vulture, they just may pick apart the leftover corpse of a dissappointed and dejected Dread City Squad. After tomorrow, we'll know who's on the track back up the standings, and whose stuck in freefall. The Diebos' expect they will be the ones flying high.

(game time, noon tomorrow, on local stations)

A complete thrashing on all sides of the ball by the OKC Thunderstorm!

well, I'm happy to say the WarChant recovered for a 9-6 week 2 win. We haven't quite found our footing, and our game vs the 0-1-1 American Cardinals should go a long way in showing what we can do.

Oklahoma City is probably on their way to another thrashing this week over the 0-2 Milwaukee Marauders. Kudos on that balanced team you put together - every player between levels 8-13... maybe if we get another shot at you in the playoffs, we can show you what we've learned by then...

-oo-

Meineymoe,

I'm sorry I didn't see this previous post before. I never meant to disparage your team at all. You played your best, but we unfortunately had you by a few levels. If we were even, who knows the outcome. My hats off to you, with your classy response. I hope we meet on (the)(edit add) field on equal terms! If we win, I will salute you. If we lose, I will (still)(edit add) salute you.

But, the playoffs are still a long way off, I do not want to predict how the season will end. No one knows.

I take games week by week and in the end who knows...I hope it's OKC, but the season's end is a long way off.
