The Terror have been hampered since Game 2 by a new filter that prevented me from checking in and adjusting or leveling my 5 OL and 3 defensive starters. Hopefully we will show some improvement now that it's been resolved.

Week 8 Predictions:
Dublin Boghoppers over Manchester Drunken Monkeys
The Boghoppers just might run the table, literally. The Monkeys again are in a state of maturing but still need a few pieces on defense to be competitive and have finally found a nice human OT.
Amsterdam Smokers over Athens Nighthawks
The Smokers are really pounding the rock and it's paying off nicely as they have 3 HB's averaging over 6 yards per carry. The Nighthawks seem to be skidding here lately as they've been outscored 64-37 the last 2 games, they just can't seem to stop anyone in the 2nd half. They could keep this close but may get killed in the 2nd half against this top top.
Canterbury Crimson Crusaders over Coventry Terror
CCC got away with one last week to extend the winning streak to 5, if they get sloppy here they wouldn't be as fortunate against this Terror team that are playing way below their potential, but that could change at any moment. I still think CCC can pull it out but it wouldn't shock me to see Terror pull the upset.
Helsinki Devils over Amsterdam Red Lights
Upset Pick. The Devils are outplaying the team match-up and only lost to CCC by 2 because of a non-kick attempt to end the game. The ARL seem to be playing off a little, but have looked good on the scoreboard against a combined record of 4-17 teams the last 3 weeks. Devils surprise here.
Dayton <-FnA-> over Syracuse Slashers
Dayton's turn. I have to give it up to Bejaminbailos for hanging in there, you'll be OK once the team is set and starts to mature.
Arlington Avalanche over Oslo Norsemen
The Avalanche have been playing strong lately, even beating a higher ranked team. They may take to many risks to truly be a top team but it can be corrected and once they figure it out, could be a contender. The Norsemen are another team hard to gauge week in and week out, as sometimes they show and sometimes they don't. This is a really tough game to call, but I don't think they can stop the TE but if they slow him down they might still have a shot.
Burnt Orange Rising over Glasgow Doom
This has got to be the biggest surprise this season, after resting dormant for almost a year and a half, the BOR seem to be getting some morale back, granted the league isn't as strong as it was last season but none the less BOR is rolling. The Doom are still building and looks like they have added a few key players but overall the team is down, keeping working and it'll get there. This could be close.
Iceland Dream Team over Barcelona Admirals
The losing streak ends here, and just maybe we'll get RPG back into the forum after this one. The Admirals have been working but it hasn't yielded to many results, it looks like the defense is almost done but still have big holes in the offense, keep going.

Devils deserve the recognition. Solid team.
Thanks we appreciate it. We've got a good group of guys that took a big chance when they signed with us since we were rebuilding.
As for the upset pick well we will just have to see as this is another difficult matchup like last game.

The Nighthawks have fired their OC and DC. They're going through a transitional phase right now.

I am out of town today and tomorrow, this Palm Treo doesn't have full funtion with this site. So I will post post-game comments tomorrow night when I get home.
Looks like we have some good games from what I can tell from this 2" screen.

Week 9 Predictions:
Dublin Boghoppers over Glasgow Doom
Boghoppers only have one maybe two tough games to close out the season, so I'm going to say they are your league champions. The Doom is giving it a go but will be next season before they get turned around.
Amsterdam Smokers over Arlington Avalanche
The Smokers are really riding their running game, and for damn good reason, they're good. The Avalanche have a respectable run D but I don't think they can hold off this game. The passing game could be heavily involved this game for them to stay close.
Dayton <-FnA-> over Canterbury Crimson Crusaders
This will be a nail biter.
Coventry Terror over Helsinki Devils
The Terror are a hard team to predict as they lose to higher teams and win against lesser teams, just kind of skating along. The Devils have heart and the will power to pull an upset two weeks in a row, but I think the Terror are just a bit too much this week. Close game here.
Amsterdam Red Lights over Burnt Orange Rising
Sorry BOR, this is where your win streak ends. The ARL are average ball these days but could pull away here. BOR could sneak away with one here if ARL gets to far away for what they need to do, but I don't see that happening.
Athens Nighthawks over Barcelona Admirals
The Nighthawks say they are reorganizing the coordinators, no guarantee they will be better but this game will be one sided and won't be a glimpse into the future. The Admirals are near the bottom in every major category and are looking forward to next season.
Oslo Norsemen over Syracuse Slashers
The Norsemen have just enough to stay midpack in this league and should roll here. Good luck next season Slashers.
Iceland Dream Team over Manchester Drunken Monkeys
IDT isn't that great this season for some reason but the Monkeys got gutted (sort of) and are rebuilding. The Monkeys defense just don't have enough firepower to hold anything but air.
