Why are you ignoring what I said? I thought we only cared about what happens in America now? We should let the other countries handle their problems while we fix our own, right?

from all the hilariously dumb shit you write in here, this is actually the winner.

it is always the uneducated (not specifically academically) that rely on black and white.

and no, 1 conviction is NOT the same as the other....
and yes, I do think you know the difference, but use the point to throw smoke around, to hide your mental incompetence

but your whole country does not understand this and made an industry out of putting black weed users in jail, and about noone else for decades. but one conviction is like the other....

but did you also catch the fact that I listed a LOT of other points that clinton and others would not fit?

Don't worry, your wages will go up, the *real* rate of inflation will go down, and at some point soon we will again reach full employment.

But by all means, please tell us all about your "feelings"?

please tag that statement....

I put up my house on wager that outside the fact that vance may stay (us citizens voted dumber already 2 times) all the rest will be wrong, hard.

Thank you Sir

Not that I agree with more then 15% of it though-
No matter how nicely (the daughter talk is a VERY good touch) you phrase it, because for example it is (in world view) simply not true that Biden was a desaster ( I repeat, in world view).

your policies, how many people you let die in the cold, dont educate them, treat them like shit (whatever racially inclined term you want to use), it actually is of no interest to the rest of the world, its your people you vote for your goovernment, USA is no longer so important to make the world shiver because of your internal stuff.

But climate policy (coal mostly is the problem) does kill the planet (to some essential %s).
Your war policies do (empowering putin mostly)
And, most importantly, a reliable partner is needed in this interconnected world.

Trump is everything you maybe like, but he is not reliable.
He is jumpy, easily influenced by ego and how well his shit stinks while he tweets.
And he does bullshit (away from his toilet I mean)...

lets take those tariffs..., thats not how it works.
either your importers pay the tariffs themselves (because products and services cost what they cost), then they have to add that cost to your end consumers. or they dont pay it, then there are no products/services.
OR they are SO big and monopolist (buyers) that they can use pressure to get the lower prices, but trust me..., if they can they already did..., capitalism you know...

and thats only 1 point of many

This is an incredibly short sighted view on things.

First let's talk about tarriffs. Can they raise prices? Yes. However, you're losing sight of the biggest thing with Trump in his policies. It's about maintaining leverage. If you don't produce anything internally you have zero leverage internationally. It's the biggest flaw in a globalist mindset. He is very keen to the fact that the US has one big bargaining chip/leverage play. The US buys more goods than anybody else, internationally people need US business to stay a float in many cases. They can't risk taking a reduction to that. This leads companies facing tariffs to look at alternatives. Look at semicon, the largest producer in the world based in Taiwan is actually negotiating with Intel to bring their production and manufacturing to the US to circumvent the hit.

Also global warming is an incredibly vague and nearly impossible to prove. You do realize the earth atmosphere is made up of exactly 0.04% of CO2. Most experts have agreed that humans have caused a 2% impact on the amount of CO2 . They have literally no way to verify that an amount that .000008 of our atmosphere has any measurable impact on our climate or weather's. That's a fact.

Also add in that even if the US cut out all of their coal usage it would make no impact on our carbon impact due to Chinas coal usage which circumvents the Paris Accord. So we would be hurting our economy to essentially virtue signal climate consciousness but make no material impact to climate change.

Additionally in the subject of climate change. There is much more evidence that our climate is more impacted by geomagnetic excursion which btw we as humans have ZERO impact.

In terms of the Trump being "jumpy" or easily influenced. That purely subjective and frankly there is no way to prove that. Have you been in the room when he is making a decision, conferring advisors?

Alright let’s see

The idea of bringing manufacturing back to America is indeed noble, except slapping tariffs on everything isn’t going to do that. The cost will just be passed along to us, the end consumer. Major corporations have shown zero signs that they’re willing to do anything other than protect their bottom dollar.

If you want to bring it back to America, then you should be pressuring the companies themselves, while also bolstering infrastructure internally, to bring down the cost. That also means increasing the minimum wage. That also means reinvesting in American education. That also means a whole slew of other things that need addressed in America. All tariffs do is make it harder for Americans to survive. COVID showed that corporations won’t bat an eye at raising prices because of limited supply, and then just never lowering them. The only way to combat that is by raising the wages people are making. And, as someone that has spent the majority of their life in manufacturing… we consistently put out shit product. I have had countless people that didn’t know how to read a tape measure or spell their own name walk in the door. Our education system is absolutely broken, and part of it started back in the 80s and 90s, when we started mocking the smart kids. They were labeled as nerds and embarrassed because of their intelligence. So now we live in a society where people aspire to be “influencers”. So naturally we try to take money away from education.

What leverage do we have if we can’t afford to buy anything?

As far as climate change goes, if that’s the case, then why is there such a strong push back on investing in renewable energy? It creates more jobs in America, and would lower our own energy costs. They would need people to engineer products, install and maintain these products. If we invested in water, air and hell even nuclear, we could continue using coal, and the people working those jobs can train/transition to renewable energy jobs. But somehow the people have been convinced that only coal is what will work. People still think that if it’s cloudy out, we won’t have power. It’s just … we’re living in the dumbest timeline.

I'll not weigh in to the climate change debate - that's a whole different discussion (but ask people in Los Angeles whether they think it's real). I'll say this though when it comes to tariffs...

Yes, the United States is the richest market and largest economy in the world right now. But it's not the only market and it's not the only economy. What's the US now? 340 million? In a world with over 8 billion. If you choose to isolate yourselves, you won't remain the largest, richest economy for long. Even if you're a completely insulated autarchic economy, making and manufacturing everything yourselves. Eventually you'll become an economic rump economy, while the rest of the world economy has moved on, creating trade that ensures economies of scale, and fosters innovation, encourages investment, and increases productivity through competition.

I'll go one step further. Your current government is doing serious, long-term damage to the reputation of the United States, as it's becoming clear that the word of the US isn't worth the paper it's written on. You are treating friends like enemies, and cozying up to the dictatorships who actually do mean you harm.

So continue down your path of isolationism if you wish. You'll eventually come to realise the harm it will cause, and that the damage was entirely self-inflicted. By then though, it will be too late.

It's not about isolation. It's about evening the playing field. You are aware that these tarriff placed by the US are largely in direct response to equal percentage tarriffs that are already placed on US companies. Do you believe that other countries should garner a trade advantage and we sit pat and allow our companies to face tarriffs while their competitors skate by free?

Also in terms of population. Yes the US is 340M in world of 8B by population. However in terms of the size of economies. The US dwarfs its contemporaries. The USs GDP is 27.7Trillion that is nearly twice as big as the next biggest economy China 17.7T. It's 6 times larger than the 3rd biggest economy (Germany 4.5T). The fact is that our economy is the biggest fish in the pond and everyone else in the world wants a piece of that pie. Which that last point goes directly in line with MontaviousX claim that big corporations will do anything to protect their bottom line. When our tarriffs start to change spending habits here domestically, those companies internationally are going to have to change in order to retain their piece of the US market.

To MonX claim on renewables... It is not that it isn't a worthwhile to look at renewables. It's the fact that renewables are incredibly inefficient and the cost to develop and maintain in order to provide an immaterial impact on our overall climate is asinine.

Pretty dramatic imo. You act like it's a forever plan, and that changes can't be made as the chips fall and more information becomes available as to impacts. It's called a shake-up. It's been long overdue. You look around the table and make sure you're not being taken advantage of by your partners. There is so much faux-outrage from other countries acting like they haven't been beneficiaries. Their leaders can say what they want to appease their masses, but they know they will have to play ball and negotiate fair deals to avoid taking huge hits to their own economies. If a deal doesn't work out for the US, and some won't, then we renegotiate.

But, you know, feel free to buddy up with China if y'all feel the US is the bad guy now.

We could have another whole debate about why much of the above makes no logical sense to me, but, for the sake of discussion, let's assume you're right and all of what you said is correct. Dems have been in the White House for 12 of the past 16 years. Are you claiming these are new problems? Are you under the impression Kamala had a plan to deal with, let alone improve, any of these issues? Are you suggesting "stay the course" was the solution? Are you familiar with the definition of insanity?

You're aware that Kamala Harris was once very proud of her record as attorney general for the state of California for putting drug users in prison....right?
