I'd suggest you avoid any competitive activities so you don't constantly need to be handed a rape blanket.

Haha, calm down psycho.

I certainly have done a lot more itt than hurl insults at you. Narcissistic much?

But keep it classy with the foul language.

Sub must be a salary hit equal to or less than lowest value at that position on your roster.

If you have WR1 @ 6650, WR2 @ 5847 then your sub must be salary hit 5847 or less.

Bummer that it will require some coding - but shouldn't that remove the possibility of trolling?

Problem isn't with what spas did - problem is that a game open to trolling isn't going to last very long imo.

I don't like the sub idea personally. The risk of someone being benched is what it is.

fwiw, assuming we are talking about his depth chart and game plan, neither do I, and I wouldn't have done what Stobie did either to "fix" it.

The scores are what the scores are and the players picked are the players picked.

The mistake spas made was coming itt and claiming that he didn't do it for GLB2 reasons, but to game Stobie's fantasy game. I wouldn't have done that either. I would have posted here and said sorry if it screwed anyone over, but it's how I wanted to play that game and I wanted to let you guys know beforehand but unfortunately that would have tipped off my competition and GLB2 comes first.

Yes, that is what I was referring too. I have had teams before where I had a rushing QB and there were games where I didn't use him for match up reasons and just not needing too use him.

Even this, I get it but he didn't even win. He wouldn't even have won if Stobie didn't adjust the scores. Its more like lol Spas

Despite the fact that spas thinks I have been libeling him this entire thread, I really don't care about him one way or the other. All I have been doing is what I usually do, which is foster discussion and play devil's advocate.

I can understand that spas is mad at me for fostering discussion that has led to people insulting him. It's just a little misguided is all.

I work on Wall Street. My office address is literally a number, followed by "Wall St," followed by New York, NY. It's cute that you do a little day trading though. Not sure where you find the time if you are the CEO of a hot tech start up in the Valley though.

Little day trading? Bad guess.

If you worked on Wall Street instead of played on Wall Street, you would understand the insider trading laws and why they exist. For most of my career, I haven't been able to buy any equities other than mutual funds because, being a person and as you already sort of got right, my job, while not to "get" that type of information, involved the possession and use of that type of information for the benefit of the people that shared it with me, which legally excluded me from turning around and benefitting from it on the side to the detriment of others. To play it safe, which is the reasonable thing to do and what my better colleagues would do, I didn't touch a single company stock explicitly so I could never be accused of insider trading and put my reputation, career, wealth and freedom at risk.

So my guess is you don't/haven't work(ed) at a Hedge Fund?

Without writing extensively, there is insider trading that's illegal. Clearly. But there is also "insightful" information and trading. It's public. Underappreciated usually, but public. And there's nothing illegal about using it to trade off of.

Local business is built on insightful information. It's typically public even though most of the public doesn't know about it because they didn't go the planning meeting, etc. That's my point.

I upvoted that. My wife agrees. Both literally and sarcastically.

Thanks!

It's a great guess actually, considering the terrible analogy you chose to go with which indicates that you don't understand much more than the basics about "Wall Street."

You're reaching at straws here. Using your terrible analogy, the spas situation would clearly be the illegal kind.

So, for the sake of discussion, when did Spastic hold his planning meeting to let the public know he was starting his passing QB? He, and only he, knew what was going to happen. Now, did he expect every other owner (except me) to pick his QB? Probably not but that's a completely different discussion.

Spastic had insider information and used it. That would be illegal on Wall Street. Doesn't need to be against the rules here, but definitely stirred up the hornet's nest.

Stobie has put a fix into place that helps mitigate this going forward. That will allow Spastic (and others) to manipulate their depth charts and play the fantasy game as they see fit
