(not that I would object to our own league - I just think it is impossible and would set a terrible precedent)

these cpu challenge team are better than no teams. Fact is, this is a creative idea that;s adding activity to the rookie tier and the forums.

Actually I think it's good for business, they are teams that are at least getting purchased and flex being bought for 10 players and more than likely boosted, rather than several cpu teams sitting around doing nothing and not being bought.

Pink & Black Attack is one of the CPU challenge teams right? Finally got matched up against one.

Last time Science Fair and I scrimmed it was a victory, but not a decisive one. Hopefully my offense has gotten to the point of being able to exploit some CPU players.

Yeah...we have competed with most teams. some of the tops teams have just creamed us though. So it should be interesting to see if we can hang. I mean we have beaten our share of good teams, but as you said; lately we seem to be wavering a bit. Like a boxer trying to hold on until the bell rings. O_o

Most of my team is unboosted, so that evens it out a little bit. Excited to see what happens. Also have no idea how your offense is running so smoothly with so few human players.

...Woh, you've got the most offensive yardage in all of rookie!

Ladder charts:

You've been consistently good/solid most of the season, while I've been meh except for my recent run.

Is kind of funny; looking at stobies power ranker for rookie right now (only showing what is pertinent to CPU challenge teams):

Total Offensive Yards
1. Pink & Black Attack (Rookie : Tequila) : 9743.0
2. Hall of Fame (Rookie : Vodka) : 9672.0
3. Team America (Rookie : Gin) : 9223.5
4. Science Fair (Rookie : Rum) : 9100.0
5. Fvck Off (Rookie : Tequila) : 8965.0

Passing Offensive Yards
1. Pink & Black Attack (Rookie : Tequila) : 9549.5
2. Science Fair (Rookie : Rum) : 7973.0

But ya - the passing game doesn't contain a few plays that are overpowered and can be run even with CPU linemen, etc. All is good - don't worry.

That's a fair point, but none of the rookie d-lineman have the SP's or SA's to really punish a CPU o-line. Spin Cycle is at Bronze still.

I think it shows more how random Rookie can be. My team is currently 9th in the tier, the defense is entirely non-boosted, the o-line isn't boosted, and I haven't gameplanned yet (aside from trying to run left vs Marvin's team that used to sell out 52 Cat Blitz Roll). That shouldn't be the case, I should be ranked in the 20's, but it's Rookie so weird stuff happens.

I've been using a slight variation of my HT offense (top 10 vet), albeit non-boosted as well (cept a few key positions) and I can barely manage to keep around .500, heh. Yay random.

Though I'm starting to see some good trends

GG Pink and Black Attack, went to Overtime!

Your CPU DE's did a really good job abusing my OT's, and my lead blockers were too slow getting to the outside. Didn't watch your offense vs my defense, so just checking out the scout tool, and two of your plays really killed me. Iso HB Under and Weak Flag Deep Post. Ouch. Getting close to perfection against my D with those two plays.

Side note, what is the SS and CB3 doing here?

I think that play's broken against 2TE, only called it once against 2TE so it's not like it affected a whole lot. BTE is uncovered as CB3 and SS make a beeline towards WR1? Definitely broken.

Not sure I buy into the idea that all three cpu challenge teams are basically "getting lucky". By being on the positive side of the random in rookie...

I'm personally convinced it has to do with running good plays- and building receivers who can catch. But I guess we can evaluate again next season to see if our luck runs out

GG Absolute. . DEFENSE bend but didn't break as often. Glad I got the ball first in OT. it look like your O was gaining some steam there in the 4th Qtr.

There's no reason it can't be both.

Pink and Black has a very good playbook that excels at using the few human players on the roster. But with all of the CPU players, you have no control over how they spend SP, for all you know one of them is going crazy with random irrelevant SP spending, you simply don't know.
