Ok that's just stupid looking. Play was supposed to go right and he Jukes and ends up running around confused for a while. This guy has 98 Carry Awr fwiw.

Well the LDE had a clear path to him if he kept going right

I get why he Juked initially, but about tick 46 he should have cut it upfield and gotten a few yards (I thought that's what this change was doing). Instead he tries to make the left sideline for some reason and looks ridiculous doing so.

This one really pissed me off. Wide open outside on 3rd and 12 and cuts inside for no reason at all, almost immediately tackled.

this ums up what I meant with:

Really...this is ridiculous. The whole change is. They should just code specific plays where that is an option. If we want an outside run, give us an outside run

That looks more like real football than anything I've seen in this game.

I'm not a fan of the change but I do like seeing spontaneous rushes...that make sense.

I 100% agree but he still should have cut up field on tick 45 or so.

This is a great example of what we don't want to happen.

Another annoying example. Easily gets the 1st down if he follows the play. Instead cuts inside for no reason about tick 45. Might even be a TD if he stays outside.

This is a really big change to the running game.

And no good one (which was needed). It just changes it...Oh well

I kinda see what you mean. Looks to me like a FR in college, former 5* recruit, who thinks he can score a TD every play because that's what he did in HS. I'd expect a guy with 98 Carry Awr to make a better decision than that though.

I think people are being too knee jerk on the change, from the scrims i have seen its been nothing but a benifit to reggie on ga. this change actually makes carry awareness as important as it should be and also makes it so people cant just mindlessly plug a running style in to get a stat boost. Now its actually a strategic choice and adds much needed depth. I love the change. Though sideline running could use improvements and a halo type blocking for lead blockers would be nice as well and make lead block awareness important as well.

Totally agree.

+ one outside rush was vs MO. lol

There were a ton of examples that game. Also the ss was unblocked, if reggie took it outside hed of been lucky to get two yards at the most. You have to consoder two factors: one what style of running (the difference between power and combo easily makes a huge difference now) and two what their carry awareness is. I can safely bet hbs with good carry awareness and use the right style of running will profit off this change while the people who run their backs 100% power or elusive or have low carry awareness will struggle.

Pretty sure he wasnt cutting inside, looks more like juke fired off and he got tackled on the juke. Odds are if juke didnt fire hed of hit the sideline.

It can be good at times, but needs some work. Some more 3rd down outside run examples

Looks reasonable here http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/198907/2864356
A little clunky, sprinted right into a block http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/198907/2865165
Perfect positive example http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/198907/2865302
Cut inside at 45 was too soon, right into a block http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/198907/2865324
