It would be cool if they replaced the entire squad with new players (since that s a strategic move to improve the squad, I consider it the same as recruiting new joes), however a completely new team, that who knows would have won the league or not (don't mistake this as me doubting Zorp's ability) does not represent whatever disbanded league Zorp came from.
Why does it matter though?
If Tampa was the suck, they'd lose next round. If they were the good, they'd win either way.
This big drama and moving the goalpoasts thing is doing more to harm the "integrity" than an 11 point loss.

If you don't see the problem (Of course I wouldn't be suprised), but I do.
I'm not defending Zorp, seeing how you like to fix the post like you think it was what I meant. Anyways, whether reset or not, they still won their league last season. You just can't say a championship won team can't join a champions tourney and then bring in a team that didn't win a championship. You broke your own tournament by trying to do so.
Jampy you have a fair point but you aren't auditing any rosters so why pretend consistency matters? The simplest and most sustainable way to do this is to take the winners, send offers, and bracket respondents. Thats it.
If you cant do this logically than maybe I just need to take over? Both sadly and ironically I have experience organizing sport internet leagues for 200+ participants so im amazed its possible to ruin a bracket that requires what? 30 people to do something?
If you just wanted to give up and fuck around then why start? Bothers me. Hate poor internet volunteers.
( www.rshl.org for the curious, our next e-hockey season starts soon! )

Because if I were to go ahead and have everyone in the tourney scrim Zorp and everyone beat them (which since Tampa beat them probably would be the case.. no disrespect intended toward Tampa) that means Tampa got a free round pass, therefore everyone who lost was cheated out of a spot...
Also it goes against the point of the tourney..

I hope you all wish to represent your league and show just how competitive your league is through this tournament! May the best league win.
In what way has this rookie team weathered the S1 storm and proven to all with cold hard facts that they are the champion of their league?
Nada

What don't you all understand that that isn't the championship team? That is a 100% DIFFERENT ROSTER. Btw, I didn't bring in any team that didn't win their league, so stop the lie train there.

They won the tournament of champions, that has to count for something.
Okay, I read the highest ranked ladder loser thing. But, still, that "loser team" lost their match (whoever it would have been to be selected) so now he gets to play a second game and means he gets a second chance to move on in the Tournament and leaves everyone else who lost no second chance.

Are you forgetting that damn near everyone in the tourney could beat Rookie team Zorp? It's only fair that they get a 2nd chance because in my eyes Tampa never had any competition, it is not fair to the losers of sudden death that one team played rookies while the rest actually played sophomores. That's only 1 of the reasons though, the rest have to do with the true intentions of the tournament, and had I labeled it out earlier, there would be no basis for any opposing argument. But that simple fact that Asheme was basing his entire argument on doesn't matter because they would have been kicked from the tournament anyway.
Until that gets through your thick skull and you at least acknowledge this simple fact, what you're saying carries no weight imo.

How many players need to change for it to be not the same team? If a star QB leaves, a team often isn't the same. If a team loses their OL, they might not be the same. Zorp just lost more than most.
