Don't be mad, this was just for fun. It wasn't meant to make anyone mad. It was just an entertaining little gimmick. Don't read anything more into it please.

Its just the first time you did it and you did it by yourself. Very easy for undeserving people to game the system like this. If you do it again more ground rules can be set up to ensure the right person wins.

This.
Fantastic idea Opera. Borts league MVP is so susceptible to noobs gaming the system. cough cough Cama sun watever.
More rules to prevent abuse would make me support this 100%. I like the nomination process, which should have some requirement imo, I like everything including the voting, just more rules to decrease abuse chance.

Perhaps I will send you some Ideas over the off-season and iron some rules out that will help keep people from gaming it. But again, this shouldn't be taken seriously.

The only reason I take it even a tini bit serious is that trophies are handed out. We spend 30-60 hours game-planning on underground teams for nothing. We spend money to buy the teams, players, and scrimmages. Yet for this you really don't need to do anything other than train a player a few minutes a season.
It is nice when people do extras like this to make things more lively and interesting though, so I commend Phantom for this.

Anytime recognition is given to someone who doesn't deserve a shred of it in a game where as much time and money is spent as this one, its irritating. I didn't really care until I realized what a huge douche-nozzle MITH is

I think it's a trend. I have seen self trolling happen a lot lately.
Thanks to Phantom for creating the award.

Simple...........assign a different weight to network members voting than non-network voters

Networks are too open ended that is a very difficult and controversial way to do it. The way players are nominated and prerequisites to voting is how it will need to be handled.
