how the hell do you figure that? To get the 4 seed, the Horns would have go 1-4 over the last 5, Hitmen would have to lose at least 2, including a loss to the Bears, Omaha would have to lose 2 against a weak schedule and yet somehow defeat the Hitmen.

Not gonna happen. Bears will get the 7 or 8 seed and thank their lucky stars.

sounds pretty sound to me.

Then they will make a prompt exit after getting steamrolled in the opening game. LOL

On a serious note though, the bears have made a decent turn around.

Then we will run through the competition because we all just got a major shot in the but, steroids for all!

Bears will at least pass the Mavericks and steal the 6 seed.

Wins against RAL, Beef, H-Town, and French Lick put them at 10-5. They match up VERY evenly with us so I can see that game going either way. So they're either 10-6 or very easily could end up at 11-5.

I've got H-Town ending at 11-5 as well with a loss to "MB". It's quite possible that they pull out 12-4 though so the wild card is what happens to H-Town against Dallas, Mavericks, and "MB". If they go 2 for 3 in that stretch they seal the #4. If the tank it and go 1-3 they'll take the #4.

The fly in the pudding is Dallas. You want to talk about teams flying under the radar? That is one SOLID football team that NOBODY is talking about and giving any respect to as a contender. Currently 9-2 but they have the meat grinder of Hitmen, Roughnecks, and Sphere coming up. They played Houston to a very close game early in the season but They will have to only lose two of those 3 games to say at 12-4.

So looking at it more closely, I'd probably pick Chicago for the #5 seed. They're better than Omaha and only one game back of them. Chicago is going to close out the season strong, I have no doubt. Omaha had better not slip up.

Omaha's not losing more than 1 game for the rest of the season, and they might not lose at all as their only challenge is H-Town. Omaha's worst case is 11-5, Bears best case is 11-5. Omaha has the tiebreaker on MB too. Look for the Horns to go to 11-5 as well, maybe 12-4.

I think the order is Orangebloods/Sphere, Roughnecks, Hitmen, Horns, Omaha, Bears, Austin.

Hitmen vs. Horns will tell us who gets that 1st round home playoff game, but these two seem destined to have a rematch in the playoffs.

PS : Those early season tiebreakers are HUGE.

Unless we figure out what the fuck happened to us last night and fix it, we're not going to be the 3 seed.

At least you have a nice week 16 matchup. Our team might be sweating it out because our week 16 game will be against a 14 or 15 win team.

Yeah, we dodged a bullet there this year

I still look at the Thunders results and wonder how we can lose to all the top teams by single digits. It seems like eventually we would slip up and win one of them

Omaha would have to lose twice in order for Chicago to pass them (assuming that Chicago won out). Based on Omaha's remaining schedule, I don't see that happening.

IF Chicago wins out, the Hitmen win all of their remaining games (other than against Chicago), Omaha wins out (other than the Hitmen) and we go into a tailspin and go 2-3 over our last 5 (which seems to be the popular consensus), then you have, below the top 3 teams, a 12-4 Hitmen team and 3 teams tied at 11-5. Omaha owns the tie-breakers against us and Chicago and gets the 5 seed, we have the tiebreaker against Chicago and get the 6 seed and Chicago gets stuck at the 7 seed.

We all usually send anonymous notes stating that the 5-0 will be raiding your players' meth labs and they either don't show up or are too jittery and paranoid to play a football game.

As long as we don't get Chicago in Rd 1 I'm happy. I guarantee nobody wants to play them in the 1st Round.

As for us, I really have ZERO idea where we stand now. Are we the team that beat Sphere or the team that laid down and didn't show up against Houston? Hopefully we're at least somewhere in the middle. If we can split against Dallas and "MB" and win the remaining games I like our chances at the #3 seed having the tie-breaker on most teams besides Houston (My favorite for the #1 seed).

I would prefer it if you beat MB and then provided us with your "Longhorn Special" performance. Just close your eyes and pretend that we're Houston.

Dallas has concerned me greatly when looking at our schedule since about game 4 or 5.
