Maybe he's waiting until after a few games so he has some data that better represents the teams? Don't know, just guessing.

I would guess it's because Nico a) has his own team now, and b) has no players in the APL anymore, so why would he care(?), imo anyway. Great job last season though, Nico, and good luck with your new team!

Yeah, this was a GREAT thread. Looked forward to seeing the rankings each week. I enjoyed the differing views on the rankins as well and the disscusions of those. Really that is what makes rankings fun to begin with.

Bah have faith!! lol Correct answer is was debating when to start it. How about today??? sounds good. last season started with game 4 had a lot of controversy. Now this season already has its own.... Laggo where art thou!!??

I plan on returning to APL. In what fasion is unknown but I will return.

whoa, whoa, whoa, what is going on here? There is something definately wrong with the ranking formula. Points scored should not overtake games won or head to head battles or common sense.

Here is my two cents. When one team in the entire conference is undefeaded and holding opposing offense to under 10 points a game, and is winning by a margin of 21 points a game and they are ranked 11th.................

Scrap the formula and try again with a formula that works. I don't know maybe one that factors wins vs losses more, or points against. Just because you score the most points doesn't make you the best team.

Just my 2 cents.

Lol I knew you guys would come in. Actually SoS is overtaking it atm. You guys unfortunatly due to your success and whatever else is going on here have one of the weakest SoS.


Also keep in mind that last season i didnt start till week 4 and didnt start to take shape till about week 8.


There is no human input into this aside from the formula which by the year end looked good. however it is a numbers formula so numbers do have to be there.

If you were around last year you would see I say things at times to get reactions cause I already know people are going to complain.

However after doing both charts. I double checked the formulas. Not saying things will look better but it will be correct. Inputing new numbers now.


Also. This formula doesnt really care what your schedule is. It cares how you perform. Power. Having the lowest SoS by a decent margin compared to some of the teams ranked ahead of them and also with a few of those teams having played Gut Coast pirates (I know not gutted but works for the intent) the numbers ARE unstabe.

Corrected however still #9 for the unbeaten.
