I apologize to P-Ville, Sorry. We did not try to run up the score.

Except that Berlin seems to be taking the victory in Zeta.
Can I be the first to say that they will be missed....really enjoy reading them! Gives a good intro to each set of matches. Glad you don't always get every prediction correct though!!!

We've had a few big scores this season. It's tough on other teams but there is very little that owners and GMs can do. Once it starts we have no control but it is tough on the losing team. For those owners and player on weaker teams....please don't quit or gut your teams!! Stick at it because building a team takes time.
Plus, maybe the Commandos can give Kilkenny a run for their money at the last game of the season!!

As I said in the other thread, Glasgow impressed me. But season is far from over, and we proved last year that the most important is to get hot at the right time...

I just realised that my (DE) Christopher Desmond will be up against my (TE) Kas Press for this game!

Round 9 is finished
Alpha:
Frankfurt is still leading clearly, even thugh Sweden surprised by making it really tough for them.
It was a real defensive struggle, where only one TD was scored, by Sweden.
However they just couldn't hold off Frankfurt in the long run, who won by doing 6 FG.
Sweden fell out of the playoffs and will have a hard time getting back there.
Belfast holds second after an easy win over Cork.
Cork is still trailing behind on 11th, and probably is allready out of the playoff fight.
Glasgow met IKK Fu in this rounds topgame and a chance for IKK Futo revenge their playoff loss.
IKK Fu opened best by intercepting a pass and taking the lead with a FG.
They continued to push forward, and just some heroic effort from Glasgow defense stopped them, 0.5 yards from TD!
Shockingly IKK Fu's kicker missed the FG from short range, and you could hear the screams of frustration from Denmark.
After this IKK Fu seemed to have lost some morale as they failed to do anything and had to give away 2 FG for Glasgow before halftime.
In the 3rd quarter both teams were getting tired and neither managed to get far with the ball.
Then the 4th quarter came and all hell broke loose.
Glasgow increased their lead with another FG, but IKK Fu struck right back with one of their own.
Which Glasgow didn't want anything off so they took their time before scoring yet another FG.
It looked dark for IKK Fu, but a light shone on their QB as a great pass to a fast moving WR made them the only TD of the game with 62,5 yard.
1.33 left of the game, which is plenty of time to score that FG you need to win the game.
Which was exactly what Glasgow did.
However they moved to fast and IKK Fu had now a whole minute to win the game.
And sure enough they get inside FG range before time ticks out.
And with maybe the greatest pressure he has had in his life, IKK Fu's kicker FAILS the FG and Glasgow win.
Apparently the kicker has after this taken refugee at his home in Sweden.
This means Glasgow is still 3rd while IKK Fu is down to 8th and in great danger to miss the playoffs this season!
Bow Street had no trouble against Port St Lucie and holds 4th, while Port St Lucie is 12th and have minimal chances for playoffs.
Limerick started best against Lyon, but after a while they started getting tired and Lyon took full control of the game.
Lyon took the 5th place from Limerick pushing them down to 6th.
Both team has a gap to those outside the playoffs, but Limerick have some tough games left and will have to fight to hold on to their playoff spot.
Marseille massacred Larryville and holds an unsafe 7th place, but will probbaly manage to get higher up in a few games.
Spaniards massacred Clydesdale and has managed to move up to 10th, but still has to fight hard to gain a playoff spot.
Lastly Reykjavik defeated Belgrade saving them from any chance of relegation, holding their 13th.
Zeta:
Berlin continues to dominate Zeta by crushing BC, practically sending them out of the playoff fight on their 12th.
Kilkenny met Tranmere and after 2 TD in the first half, just held Tranmere away with their defense, winning again.
Kilkenny now holds 2nd and probbaly a secure playoff spot, while tranmere for now is 8th leading the group of teams that are fighting between themself for the last playoff spot.
Rome massacred Leeds and hold 3rd and also a secure playoff spot.
London showed strenght against Buffalo, controlling the game the whole way, winning clearly in the end.
This sends London up to 4th and Buffalo down to 5th, but also these 2 are practically in the playoffs allready.
Shamrock just annhilated P-Ville and takes 6th, and really shouldn't manage to mess up their playoff spot now.
Drunken won easily over Camelot and holds 7th.
They might still mess this up, but so far got an upper hand on that playoff spot.
Fighting Irish struggled against Vaticans defense, and in the end didn't stand a chance as Vatican had full control over this.
Fighting Irish is still 9th, and still fighting hard to get into the playoffs.
The Vatican has come back from a weak start and on a 10th place is definetly in the playoff fight again.
With a great pass, Munich managed to defeat Vikings taking 11th and holding on to their playoff chance.
Vikings is still on a risky 13th

If there is going to be a rivalry in Western Europe AA4, I think Glasgow vs. IKK is a good place to watch. Tough game guys, it seems like we somehow have pulled out the last two, but we both know they could've gone either ways.

Was very frustratig to watch!! Our kicker makes a 40yd FG early, then fails on a 19yd attempt next drive... I dunno, wish i could see the replay, maybe it was blocked or something, who knows!!
Well done though, was an exciting game to watch.
IN a rather significant form slump at the moment, no changes seem to work!!
Back to the drawing board anyway...

Next round:
Alpha:
Frankfurt - Limerick (I doubt Frankfurt starts screwing up now)
Belfast - Spaniards (Spaniards needs the win, but Belfast looks to strong)
Glasgow - Bow Street (Top game, after the failure against Belfast, i'm afraid Glasgow might take this one)
Lyon - Belgrade (Easy win for Lyon)
Marseille - Sweden (Sweden got 4 straight losses so i think Marseille takes this one)
IKK Fu - Larryville (IKK Fu gets a massacre)
Cork - Port St Lucie (Crucial game for both teams as a loss here means bye bye playoff. I think Cork is the strongest of the two)
Reykjavik - Clydesdale (Reykjavik takes this one easy)
Zeta:
Berlin - Leeds (Berlin wil massacre Leeds)
Kilkenny - Drunken (Kilkenny is on their way to a second place so they should win this.)
Rome - Camelot (Rome massacres Camelot)
London - BC (London should win easy)
Buffalo - Fighting Irish (Fighting Irish desperatly needs the win, but Buffalo looks strongest)
Shamrocks - Tranmere (An important game for both teams, but Shamrocks are favourites)
Vatican - Munich (The loser here will most likely lose their chance for playoff. It probably will be close, but Vatican is favourites)
Vikings - P-Ville (Vikings win this easily for once)
