Here's some examples of bands that are fresh and original (which Nickelback is not):



Nothing is really "fresh" and "original" these days.

But you come out with a 2 song combo that has similar background beat. Now compare those to Rockstar, Animals, and Far Away...you will find all 3 of those to be far different from one another while still being huge hits for them.
