I'd throw Marino out, another one who couldn't get it done in the playoffs. Please don't give me the running attack or no defense excuse, overused and untrue. I would throw some guys like Unitas, Bradshaw or Bart Starr in the mix....

I don't think Bradshaw or Starr should really be in the mix. Though both are underrated... the teams were both led by the defense to their respective superbowls.

Unitas definitely deserves a nod though. Won the greatest game ever played etc.

Bradshaw took home the Superbowl MVP in the 3rd and 4th Superbowl victory. I would agree on the defense for the first two but his 3rd game performance was nothing to sneeze at:

Super Bowl Thirteen's MVP Terry Brandshaw's record 318 yards and 4 touchdowns

For the record, I would take take Brady and Roethlisberger over Manning in a must win playoff game...Valid point with the blowouts, I would contend that was only the first of all Brady's seasons that he actually had weapons to use in each and every game. I would hardly put Givens, Patten or Branch in the same category as Harrison, Wayne, Stokely, Clarke, Edge James and or Addai

Extrapolate....that sounds dirty!

Not a chance I'm taking Big Ben over Peyton Manning...

Ben's made some big plays in his day, but it was the guy on the other end of the catches that actually make the plays. I'm a Steeler hater, but I'm the first on to admit that they have the right guys for the right roles that are always in the right positions to make plays. Peytons has had an over the hill WR, no running game and an average defense. He's got a little more weight on his shoulders then a Brady or a Toothlessberger... just my opinion though.

I'd love to see Peyton in New Englands offense.. "forgetaboutit!"

The facts are facts, just look at the playoff numbers for Peyton. Too many mistakes and gets the happy feet whenever pressured. He already had Bradys offense for years......

I'm a Steelers fan, so I wouldn't disagree. I think he's top 10 and it's shocking how much he's left off top lists.

I think the list would have to start with Unitas though. For me, any pre-1979 QB is a more attractive sell than any post-1979 (thanks to Don Shula's rule changes...fucker ["Oh no the Steelers are too good let's change rules"]).

Manning is a very immobile QB (about as much as Brady). When his line crumbles, so does he. If a team doesn't have to blitz to get to Manning, they'll win the game 9 times out of 10. That's, by far, the biggest reason why the Steelers and Patriots are so dangerous when they play the Colts.

And Steve - As great as Holmes' catch was, I think Ben's throw was way better tbh. I don't even know if there was a 2 inch window for him to place that ball... while scrambling.

I still can't wait to see how he'd do these days with a 2005 Steelers oline or something. As it stands, that oline is horrid.

And Brady's 07 supporting cast was way better than anything Manning ever had. The reason he/Harrison/Wayne/Stokely looked so good is because of their timing. Brady throwing to Moss was just sheer talent at work.

Just a great play that I'll have to see for the rest of my life. Just wish anyone else on the team could have caught that pass... I can't stand Holmes as a person.

100% agree with the 2nd part of that... Moss is just a freak of nature...

Who do you homer for? Just so we can establish a base

Also, ironically when I clicked this link, ESPN started showing the SB highlights. Holy crazy.

You're a Browns fan. No joke necessary

Imo you should bring up the oft-forgotten Otto Graham.

Honestly though, don't you love the city of Pittsburgh? I love it whenever I go. It's a city, but it doesn't feel overly busy or anything.

Ofc, if you sport Browns jerseys, I guess that tune might change.

I can't think of too much worse than being a Brown's fan living in Pittsburgh. I mean its bad enough just being a Brown's fan.

Otto Graham could throw a "pretty" ball... but for me, its hard comparing old time greats to the house hold names we have now... Different times, different level of play...

Pittsburgh is an odd... very odd city. Fantastic Art town! But it rains constantly, we barely have a summer, winters really suck... The reason the city doesn't seem busy is because there is nothing down there. We have a couple theaters, and "The Point" in the summer time. But parking is crazy, everything is priced too high because of taxes... we even have a "beer tax", no joke. The best things we have are the baseball/football stadiums and soon to be casino and hockey stadium. Everything else is outside of the city... like South Side, Robinson, Strip (which is probably considered city), Oakland/Pitt Campus, Mt. Washington etc... Lots of art and fantastic places to eat...

If you are a Steeler fan, its probably heaven. EVERYTHING revolves around the football team... its football season in June! lol... We have year round Big Ben reports... But I could definitely consider then "fair weather fans"... Ben was god, then he got in an accident and he turns into "that dumbass, there goes our football season... F - Ben" then he comes back and wins a Super Bowl and he's back up to God status. lol The slogan "Football town with a drinking problem" sums it up. lol When they do well, its definitely a party filled with drunks in the streets... when they are not doing well (in the past) there are still drunks in the streets... hahaha!

I can say the Rooney's do it right and they have a fantastic organization...
