Yea, man.. you said that you watched all the games and it was mostly from run support. You lied. He called you out. Simple as that.. just say you were wrong or that you simply exaggerate.. instead you tell him he should get a life.

Who gives a shit about being mentioned in this forum.. do you really need validation from a message board?

Terrible stats? 24 tackles, 24 PD's, a FF and 5 Ints. I'm not even gonna bother going through mine to see what was field support and run support because the tackles are so low it doesn't matter.

You guys got mad when i tried something new to avoid watching every play. well, i did it, i went through and looked at each play. Those numbers don't lie, they were what you were looking for. And now that you have them you don't like what you see. Not easy to turn a blind eye now, hu?

What more do you want? i never said he sucked, i said its not an indictment on his guys skill, its just how he plays, i play tight, i shut down my guy. He plays loose to get more balls thrown his way and boost his stats.

There is a difference from me lying and me not giving a fuck. Most of the tackles i saw him make were on running plays. I didn't go back and take time out of my day to check because i don't give a fuck and you have no life.

I can't really think of any changes I would make to this list. If this was a real team they would win every game 100-0.

I agree with this list too. Add Phillip Fredrick at FB, though, he's made a lot of Bob's success possible.

He's an underrated player. He has so few stats to show for his playing time, but if you watched the games, basically everyone stops at him. Really keeps the sacks down to a minimum.

I think that unless a FB actually has running yards then the only way to decide which is the best is their blocking. Since it seems the only way to decide the best o-line is on # of pancakes (even though we know pancakes dont mean that much) and sacks dont occur much in GLB to weed out the bad o-linemen then pancakes are all we have to grade the FBs on. You can not only say "my fullback is good because my RB got more yards" because the FB blocks on passing teams also. If anyone wants to take the time to look at all the FBs pancakes.. Id say thats the best way to figure the All-Pro ones.

Then you didn't watch 'most of the plays' because 'most of the tackles' were NOT from the run.

But the facts remain, you lied, got called out, and now you look like a chump back tracking getting all defensive. You clearly care otherwise you wouldn't be getting so crazy over this.

BTW, it didn't really take that much longer than the half time from the Celtics game. But go ahead, keep saying i have no life if thats your only way to try and put me down. Because, you know, i care so much about what someone who has never met me before thinks.

fyi justin, the bold part is why you're so annoying in every one of these discussions. You feel the need to ascribe selfish motives to every CB with better stats than yours (which is most of them) without considering other factors. Even if this CB does play on Medium or Loose coverage, have you thought that perhaps his coach has asked him to play that way? Maybe they'd rather trade more completions for more INTs--it's a valid strategy (see the 2006 Bengals, iirc).

Seriously, we understand that you're proud of your guy. We recognize, I think, that he seems to make plays when the ball gets thrown his way. And we all are well aware by now that you're sensitive about CBs with better stats than you. You can chill out, though. You really don't derive anything from our validation of your RPG character.

Anyway, tisichase just got owned and it's pretty funny.

Eh, i felt like everyone was taking subtle shots at me(just like it seems you are), so i guess it was a knee jerk reaction to take a shot back. Probably could have left 'to boost his stats' out.
I realize that there are other reasons to play that way other than just stats. Like i said earlier, its way easier to come up for the run if your not on top of your receiver. And it might not expose a weaker team mate and keep that guy from getting burned.

But really, this whole thing isn't just about my guy. there are other CB's out there that lock down with low stats, and if they are better I'm all for them, I'm not going to be blind, yelling 'my guy pick me pick me!'. Its just my point of view, and i guess the sides will always be at odds and not agree. so lets agree to disagree.

Isn't that what this whole thread is about anyway? Stroking your Internet characters ego? lol

tischase, THIS would be an example of a graceful and mature way to handle getting called out

I think that Perchard guy who basically runs the Gangsters should be mentioned here. Undoubtedly an all-pro centre. Larry who?
