Will there be a new cap on EEA, or will it be opened up?

I know it was raised to 16 and there was a possibility of it being raised at the end of the season, but nothing definite has been said.

Personally, I don't think there needs to be one after the first season. People already have level 20+ on their teams.

There should be. Otherwise, it's going to be entirely new teams, which would suck. Hopefully they raise it to 20.

Unless teams want to take massive chemistry hits, it's not going to be new teams.

It's going to be something to see. The teams in AA can right now sign/trade as many lvl 20+ players in preparation for next season. With that said, anything over lvl 22 or so would add an influx of too many high levels. Need a cap at least until mid season next year.

We're going to continue on to the next inevitable step with the hard cap idea for the teams we're adding this season:

- All new teams start out with a hard level cap for FA signings.
- Halfway through the season, we will raise the caps from 13 to 16 or so, depending on the levels in the leagues at that time.
- At the end of the season, the cap will be raised to around 20 or whatever makes sense with the current levels.
- In the following season, the cap will be raised at mid-season again to accommodate growth. Then it will be removed at the end of that season.
- It's possible we'll automate this to be based on league medians and updated weekly or something.

Have not seen anything to contradict this statement yet, however its only a few days till we get to the off season.

I'm hoping it's no higher than 20.....

If it's 20, I think it will be great. That'll keep around a lot of the same players, making the teams a lot more realistic and consistent. I was really worried about removal of cap.

well what about the teams who are trying to improve and the best they can do is recruit an entire team at the new level cap which is the league level-average. so they have a complete roster of average levels for all their work... they have no chance to improve their team.

if the Spartans are still in EEA4 next year there is no team that could recruit well enough to match our levels... there is no gameplan good enough to overcome a drastically outleveled team. that's just a fact (although there can be a gameplan bad enough employed by the higher level team to make them lose their advantage...)


EDIT forgot to say: thus i think that a lvl 20 cap is a bad idea. the cap should be higher imo.

I hope the cap is like 23.

So what will the cap be... 20 or something?

If the cap is 20 thats dumb, because the teams that come down from the AA leagues are going to have players over 20 thats a fact; and teams that boosted for the playoffs are going to have players over 20 and its going to make it difficult for teams that didnt boost to stay competitive.

that said they should remove the cap, to give all teams an equal chance to sign players of all levels to keep the leagues competitive.
