Warrior General Games

Alright the Pro Bowl was in shambles last season, so I'm going to try and take charge this season. Here are my Eastern Conference nominations based solely on "League Leaders" of the conference in respective categories.

Feel free to submit any other nominations you may have.

Offense
QB
#1 Move Over! Your Blocking my View!! (Petersborough Goons)
Commentary - With the best QB rating, the most TD's thrown, and the 4th most yardage in the Conference, it's easy to see why Move Over! is the #1 QB in the league.
#2 Second Coming (Sactown Rage)
Commentary - Despite being underleveled than most of his teammates, Second Coming has certainly earned their respect tossing the 2nd most Passing Yards in the Conference, the 2nd most TD's and the 3rd best QB Rating.

RB
#1 Phil Blake (Manitoba Wild Boars)
Commentary - Leading the conference in Rushing Yards with 1970.5 and 2nd in the conference in TD's with 47, it's no wonder that Blake is the #1 RB.
#2 Harrison Wegener (Montreal Maniacs)
Commentary - 2nd in the conference in Rushing Yards with 1759 and 1st in the conference in TD's with 51, means Harrison is a Pro Bowl Running Back.

FB
#1 - Hambone Jackson (Lake Michigan Maelstrom)
Commentary - With the most Rushing Yards for a Full Back (452) and tied for the most Pancakes (14), Hambone gets the nod as the League's #1 FB.
#2 - Bohica Jones (Norfolk'n Way)
Commentary - With the 2nd most Rushing Yards for a Full Back (384.5) and the best rushing average among Full Backs (4.6), Bohica slips into the #2 spot among Fullbacks.

WR
#1 Willie Mayes Hayes (Montreal Maniacs)
Commentary - With the most Receiving Yards in the Conference with 1324, a whopping 226.5 more than 2nd, and the most TD's with 13, it's easy to see why Willie is the #1 WR in the Conference.
#2 Willy Annan (Manitoba Wild Boars)
Commentary - With the 2nd most receiving yards (1097.5) and 3rd most TD's (11), Willy slips into the #2 WR spot.
#3 Blowin ByYa (Cardiff Cougars)
Commentary - 3rd in the Conference in Yardage (1091.5) means Sven is the Pro Bowl Slot Receiver.
#4 Sven Van Norstrum (Sactown Rage)
Commentary - 4th in the Conference in Yards with 1038, and the only other 1000 yard receiver, and 7th in TD's with 8 allows Sven to slip into Pro Bowl contention.

TE
#1 Lars Van Nostrum (Sactown Rage)
Commentary - With 691.5 yards receiving (1st among Tight Ends) to go along with 23 pancakes. It's unquestioned that Lars is the #1 TE in the league.
#2 J. Roy Snyder (Alert Sentinels)
Commentary - With 398.5 yards receiving (2nd among Tight Ends) AND 52 pancakes (1st among Tight Ends), Snyder is definitely a Pro Bowl caliber TE.

C
#1 I.C. U.P. (Montreal Maniacs)
Commentary - 1st among Centers in Pancakes (79), I.C. U.P. knows how to take out powerful NT's.
#2 Jesse Cross (Sactown Rage)
Commentary - 2nd among Centers in Pancakes (78), Cross is close at the heels of I.C. U.P. for best Center in the Conference, but slips into the #2 spot.

G
#1 Dickie Cheney (Norfolk'n Way)
Commentary - Dickie leads all Guards in Pancakes, with 117, and is 2nd in the Conference overall.
#2 Immovable' Object (Orange County Crips)
Commentary - 2nd among Guards in Pancakes with 103, and 4th overall lands the Immovable Object a Pro Bowl nomination.
#3 Magnus Van Norstrum (Sactown Rage)
#4 Robert Menzies (Manitoba Wild Boars)
Commentary - Tied for 4th among Guards in Pancakes with 97, and 5th overall, Robert and Magnus both get Pro Bowl recognition. Their rankings are simply because M comes before R

OT
#1 Tank Blocker (Cambridge Thunder Cats)
Commentary - Most Pancakes in the Conference with 121 warrants the #1 OT spot.
#2 Shawn Sucks (Yukon Silent Pwners)
Commentary - With the 2nd most Pancakes in the Conference among OT's and the 3rd most overall in the Conference with 114, Shawn Sucks is clearly a Pro Bowler.
#3 Ryan Blocker (Montreal Maniacs)
Commentary - With the 3rd most Pancakes in the Conference with 93 knock overs among OT's, and 7th overall, Blocker fits into the #3 OT spot.
#4 Jeff "Pancake" Otah (Yukon Silent Pwners)
Commentary - Last but not least, Jeff served up 84 pancakes throughout the season which was good for 4th among OT's and 9th overall.

Defense
DE
#1 Bay Watch (Sactown Rage)
Commentary - Bay Watch watched the QB lay on his back as he got to the QB 17 times, best in the Conference, and Forced 2 Fumbles as well.
#2 The Purple People Eater (Manitoba Wild Boars)
Commentary - Many Purple People were eaten as he accumulated the 2nd most sacks, with 14. He also was 2nd in the Conference with 16 hurries.
#3 John Garcia (Montreal Expos)
Commentary - Despite playing for an undermanned team, Garcia sacked the QB 12 times, good for 3rd most in the Conference.
#4 Derek Ho (Yukon Silent Pwners)
Commentary - Derek sacked the QB 10 times, which was 4th in the Conference and also forced 2 fumblerooski's as well which gives him the last DE spot.

DT
#1 The Gobstopper (Yukon Silent Pwners)
Commentary - Gobstopper hurried the QB a Conference-best 21 times, 5 more than the next highest and also brought the QB to the ground another 3 times.
#2 Mean Machine (Petersborough Goons)
Commentary - Mean Machine had 14 hurries, 2nd among DT's and recorded 3 sacks along with it.
#3 Bull Doz Catapiller (Sactown Rage)
Commentary - Bull Doze hurried the QB 13 times, good for 3rd among DT's and forced 3 Fumbles along the way.
#4 Tommy Hamstrings (Montreal Maniacs)
Commentary - Tommy was 4th among DT's in hurries with 10, had 3 sacks and forced a Fumble.

ROLB
#1 Buddy Grunnick (Petersborough Goons)
Commentary - Buddy forced a Conference-best 5 fumbles and recorded 70 tackles.
#2 Adam Clow (Orange County Crips)
Commentary - Adam forced 3 fumbles and recorded 75 tackles to land himself a Pro Bowl spot.

LOLB
#1 Tyler Adams (Orange County Crips)
Commentary - Tyler finishes 2nd in the Conference in tackles with 134 takedowns and forced a fumble.
#2 Zeke Andestroi (Cardiff Cougars)
Commentary - Despite not even starting for the Cougars, Zeke managed to be 2nd in the League in Forced Fumbles with 4.

MLB
#1 Badass Mutha (Toronto ShenaniganZ)
Commentary - Badass led the Conference in tackles with 139 and forced a fumble and recorded a sack.
#2 Michael "Kill-em" Mann (Montreal Expos)
Commentary - 5th in the Conference in tackles with 111 and also was 2nd in Forced Fumbles with 4.

CB
#1 Bernd Jonas (Montreal Maniacs)
Commentary - First in the Conference in INT's with 12 and a defensive TD to boot, means Jonas is the best CB in the Conference.
#2 Andy Seth (Yukon Silent Pwners)
Commentary - With 11 Picks (2nd in the Conference), including one for 6, and a whopping 56 deflections (1st), Andy is the 2nd best CB in the Conference.
#3 Ben Falgoust (Albany Mohicans)
Commentary - With 7 INT's, good for 3rd in the Conference, Falgoust is the Nickel Pro Bowler.
#4 Jimmy McNulty II (Sactown Rage)
Commentary - Tied for 4th in the Conference with 6 Picks, McNulty makes it as the Dime Corner.

FS
#1 Eric Wicks (Orange County Crips)
Commentary - With the 3rd most tackles in the Conference with 117, and a INT along with it. Wicks is the #1 Pro Bowl FS.
#2 Ivanna Tinkle (Manitoba Wild Boars)
Commentary - Ivanna led all Free Safeties with 5 interceptions along with 27 PD's.

SS
#1 GanDawlf White (Toronto ShenaniganZ)
Commentary - Leading all SS's with 111 tackles, good for 6th overall in the conference, along with 1 INT and 3 FF, makes GanDawlf a Pro Bowl SS.
#2 Taylor Lott (Montreal Maniacs)
Commentary - Raking in a whopping 106 tackles (2nd among SS's, 8th overall), 1 INT, 2 FF, and 23 PD's, Taylor was all over the field making plays all season.


Special Teams
K
#1 Pawtucket Pat (Lake Michigan Maelstrom)
Commentary - Most FGM in the league and connected on all but one Extra Point

P
#1 Ball Kickin' Dyke (Yukon Silent Pwners)
Commentary - With the best Punt average in the league at 38, Ball Kickin' Dyke is clearly the #1 punter in the Conference.

good write up, it looks like you put a lot of research into it.

pancakes seem to be one of the only ratings worthwile to publish for linemen, which is kind of too bad for those of them that concentrated on pass block. i wish there was a "vs sack/pressure %" rating, or some other kind of efficiency rating that was available that would make stating up oline players better than a straight up count of pancakes

Right. Some OL put their settings on Run Block just so they get more Pancakes (you're welcome if you didn't know that before) but then they give up more sacks which negates all Pancakes and actually hurts more than getting that pancake helps.

yah, for one team I GM for I actually went through game by game and tracked sacks/hurries allowed. It's actually not much work if you do it every game.

Sactown BLOWS. It's not even in Canada! Oh wait...Maybe they should make our league Canada + Cali?

Nice he gets the credit for the pro bowl but he doesn't play for the Cambridge Thunder Cats. He plays for the Cardiff Cougars.
