What happened to the power atop Alpha Conference?

West Yorkshire - lose to Iceland
Punks - lose to Schiffertown

Wow. Congrats to our Zeta brothers who beat them. A job well done.

Seems Alpha 9 wins to Zeta's 7 wins says that Alpha in these last game mathups this season trump Zeta...

Now to the playoffs... That will fun to watch

Settle down Mobius. I wasn't dissing you. I was pointing out that the two teams who everyone thought were the best two teams from Alpha lost to teams that they were predicted to beat.

You guys did just fine. But you can be sure that WYW and Boston are scrambling right now to figure out what went wrong.

It certainly makes the playoffs a little more unpredictable.

9 > 7

We had to get our loss out of our system so we don't end up like the Patriots did last year

Well your not looking at the bigger picture. Yes, Alpha got more wins; however 6 out of 8 zeta teams that are going to the playoffs won their games. 2 of which were against your number 1 and 2 ranked teams!

You can try and spin it in favor of Alpha all you want, but it's just that, spin. The Alpha elite were exposed today.

Well, playoffs are coming up, so we will see how it goes...

Something about all this is way too familiar of something I read last season, oh well, some team posting about their 'dominance'? Who was that?

Well zeta still won the championship last season regardless so.....

We lost to a dallas browns team we already knew were very good. So the outcome could of gone either way and the draw went to dallas who then beat alpha's best!

Oh yeah... it was you...

Your prediction for this playoff to championship?

LOL, I do like the scale back you post here about the playoffs from last season, 'Zeta still won so...' I think the point here is that you came out with a strong taste of crow in your mouth

Enjoy the playoffs fellas, should be fun to watch and good luck

There was no crow. We knew we faced a really tough team in the Browns and because of that we never talked shit to them. Then they went out and beat us. It wasn't the taste of crow in our mouths. It was the taste of defeat to the team who went on to win the championship.

But really Mobius, you're better than this, I think. This thread is about the two Alpha teams that lost today. It doesn't involve the Knights, and it most certainly doesn't involve last year's Knights.

The two "best" Alpha has to offer lost to two teams from Zeta today. I was surprised to set it, and so I wanted to acknowledge it. At the very least it shakes things up as we go into the playoffs and takes just a little of the bloom off the Alpha rose.

That's all. I didn't mention the Knights and I made no prediction of a Knights championship. Go back and read what was written. The whole "something about all this is way too familiar" is your own creation.

I was referring to Veg, and his predictions from last season, his needing to eat a bit o' crow.

He brought it upon himself and I'm just ribbing him back, how many times has he posted this line?

I'm inclined to say Zeta is the tougher of the two conferences... However, come playoff time - anything can happen... just like last season...
