Do I have to jump start this?

The Steel-Heads used to be one of the best teams in A#1, much less the East. Now they suck and the Roughnecks are going to storm all over that defense tonight.

Roughnecks 38
Steel-Heads 17

We'll see. You know as well as I do that you really wouldn't be excited about the possibility of our offense getting another crack at you without turnovers. Ask Denton about how that works out.

Strange shit happens in the playoffs and the #2 seed seems to advance a LOT in the crazy world that is GLB.

Game on.

My one and only comment ever about OOC - I think Mikey is way cooler than Paulie or Paul, Sr.

On the flip side:
I think they should put the OOC at Game 9 where it would mean more. The end of the year stuff makes it another another scrimmage game. Its not a real gauge of East vs. West.

I love how you feel the need to toot your own horn. I guess you have to because no one else will. You dont seem to realize the turnovers were caused by the team you played. What did you show us in that game besides the fact you cant contain us at all?

If they put it at week 9 it would still suck, because there is no fair way to seed the teams. Like I said last year if team A and B were fighting for the #1 or #8 seed with identical records yet the A team faces the best team from other conference while team B faces the gutted team then the whole glb season is tainted.

(Negative points for unsportsmanlike conduct... gutting your team.)

Agreed.
Either you have the teams play week 1 based upon last season's rankings, or you have them play week 16 with this season's rankings. Anything else is useless. If you looked at the GLB rankings at week 9, you'd have some pretty horrible rankings.

LOL! Who pissed in your Wheaties this morning? Or is it vaginal bleeding week?

I know that turnovers are created by the team you play and if you'll go back and actually read my statement after that game you'll realize that.

My point remains that crazy things happen in GLB land during the playoffs. And if you don't think our team has the talent to be CAPABLE of pulling a GLB Playoff Stunner then you haven't watched the playoffs across this game.

Yes, your team is better than us, we all know that, but I'm absolutely not going to sit here and say that game wouldn't be worth playing.

But this could all be moot because Oklahoma is going to end up in your bracket, not ours.

The difference is, if you play the game in Week 9 you'd pretty much HAVE to scout, gameplan, etc and pay attention to trying to win the game because you wouldn't know how the rest of the season would play out.

As it is, we don't have to scout New York at all, we don't have to play THEM, because it's a scrimmage for us to work on our tactics, etc. Had we played them in Week 9 we would have had to pay a lot more attention because we wouldn't have already known we were going to be the #2 Seed regardless.

If it were a conference opponent, and our standings were the same, we wouldnt have to scout,gp etc as well. OOC is stupid if there is imbalance in the matchups.

Well, this thread wasn't about your team at all. It was about the ooc sucking. Since you wanted to turn it into a Roughnecks thread I gave you your answer. Of course the TxR could pull the upset, but it would be a fluke. I know it and so do you.

Also, you also know the turnovers seem to multiply in the playoffs. If you couldnt keep us from taking your ball and going home with it in the regular season how do you logically intend to prevent it in the playoffs? You wanna run 100% I certainly hope so.
